Decent enough stand
It’s a fine stand for the money, in this price range you can’t really beat it. Definitely a bit flimsy and it is annoying that you can adjust the legs. I use a double kick pedal and setting it up next to it without it colliding into the chain makes the hats far-ish away. Can’t beat it at this price.

It slides on rug because it doesn't have spikes. You'll also want Loctite to stop pull rod loosening
This seemed like a good value for the money, and I have to say that it is, but I found that it would slide away from me when I was using it. I'm a new drummer, and that's when I realized it's best to have a hi hat stand that has spikes or spurs on the bottom to grip the rug to keep it from moving away from you.In addition, I recommend using Loctite (Blue) to attach the upper pull rod to the lower pull rod: Remove the nylon bushing, and prepare to hold the top of the lower push rod with an 8mm wrench. Put Loctite (Blue) on the upper pull rod threads, and screw the upper pull rod into the lower section. Hold the lower rod with the 8mm wrench, and tighten the upper rod with pliers. (You can use rubber padding to avoid gouging the rod with your pliers.) After it sets for 24 hours, you can put the bushing back in, and use the stand with your high hat cymbals. (Loctite blue is recommended over Loctite red because the red is considered permanent.)I did all that, but it didn't matter because even though the cymbals did not spin, I could not stop the whole stand from sliding away from me, or I chose not to keep messing with it. (There are suggestions on the web, yes...but I didn't feel like tying the stand to my throne with a rope, for example.)So as good a deal as this stand was, I returned it and got a Pearl hi hat stand for around $100. The Pearl stand has spikes on the bottom to anchor it to the rug, and it's been working well for me.

Good for the price
Has a tendency to not stay in place with the parts but stays good enough to play

Ok
So I bought this for I had stand for this little kit in upgrading there's only two problems with the stand1. It does not have washers so the metal is rubbing against the felts2. The way that the mechanism tightens is not that stable so you need to get pliers and tighten it more than hand canAlso if you feel like you can deal with having to put in your own washers and using pliers and just a tightness then the stand is fine for u

No problems so far
I've had this for a few days now and it seems like it's doing its job just fine. While I don't have tons of experience at drums, I don't see any issues with this hi-hat stand. Everything works like it's supposed to, as far as I can tell. The stand and mechanism don't make much noise by themselves, which is good for getting just the sound of the cymbals (not included!)
