Expect the unexpected. Be prepared for twists and turns that add layers upon layers before reaching a concise conclusion or ending to a story. The ending may just be the beginning or an unexpected revelation. Be prepared to journey into the dark sensual world that not only fulfills the erotic fantasy but also delves into the minds of very unique individuals in the darkness. With JA Huss there is no black or white, light or dark, right or wrong, or good and bad. It's a combination of it all melding together to make one outstanding and thought provoking story. The story holds the reader captive and leaves them wanting more.After reading Taking Turns by JA Huss, I was completely floored by what I had just read. It was not the typical erotic romance novel that revolves around the darker side of sex or menage scenes that scorch the pages. It had those elements but also included so much more. This book is about four characters driven by a dark need. Taking Turns is told through each characters POV with a very clear understanding of who is who in each passage. Each character stands uniquely on their own merits with distinct and very likable personalities. While their motivations are questionable, the reader gets a sense of who they are until JA Huss throws another layer to their persona. What makes this book stand out was not the sex itself, it was how the sex scenes came into play, how each individual approached the situation, and what they gave to reach each situation.In most cases, erotic romance walks a fine line in definition. The romance tends to get lost or overpowered by the erotic elements. I went into this book expecting that to happen. Throughout most of the book the erotic elements were the forefront of the story unfolding. It was questionable if a romance would develop and who would be the ones involved in the romance. As each man's personality materialized I found myself hoping he was the one. As the sexual heat intensified between the four, one man began to surface to the top. It is at that point the reader realizes that this story has had the romance all along but it was cleverly disguised as something else. This is pure JA Huss brilliance at it's best.I can honestly say that I am still processing what I read in Taking Turns. I have many questions that I know will be answered by the end of the series. I have no doubt that JA Huss is going to throw some new kinks into the mix. She's going to take the readers on a mind boggling journey before The Turning Series ends.What started out as a game with no losers or winners has turned into a game of consequences. I can't wait to see what comes next in The Turning Series. Turning Back will release on April 12, 2017.

This is not your normal ménage or in this case quad, this is a story steeped in angst and suspense as well as the unlikely scenario of a serial quad falling in love.Three best friends, extremely handsome, extremely rich and all set in their ways when it comes to women. These three have shared their women for well over a decade, but for them it works. Their arrangement is designed to protect them and protect the women that they “own.” The idea is that during a week they have their days and as the relationship progresses, as they get to know one and other and trust one and other that they can build up to become a tight quad. Not only does the woman get enough erotic sex to quench even the most insatiable of appetites, but whatever the woman wants, the woman gets. Not a bad deal if it floats your boat.“These three men have no idea how well I can play this game. But they’re about to find out real quick.”This book starts with the men finding out that the woman they have spent the last three years with, Rochelle, missing and a woman called Chella has been left in her place and it is this that sets the tone for this book because I for one was forever wondering, why did Rochelle leave? Where is she now? Why did Chella agree to take her place? Chella was extremely wealthy in her own right, she doesn’t want for anything, so what could Chella possibly want that she couldn’t already get? What was her motive behind the arrangement?“I’m a dirty effng wh**e.”“Just like us…we’re all dirty here…be dirty with us, Chella.”Bric, Smith and Quin were all adorable in their own way. Three totally different men, yet all have something in common, not only their friendship.“Number One is there to deny you. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.Number two is there to satisfy you after the abstinence.Number three is there to give you what you really want – Number One, with conditions.”Quin was the happy go lucky one, extremely charismatic, thoughtful, a hopeless romantic and perfect boyfriend material. You couldn’t help but fall more in love with him with every page, but Quin’s heart belongs to Rochelle and he is fighting all kinds of desertion demons.Smith was ADORABLE! First opinions will forever be changed as with each page we learn more about him, as layers of the onion are carefully peeled away. Smith has more money than he knows what to do with, he comes across as a perv in the first instance, only wanting to be a voyeur rather than a participator, but it seems that Smith has met his match in Chella and from the get go, the sparks between these two were fierce. The chemistry was palpable, Smith’s fall from infatuation to more was heart stoppingly good and first hand we see what happens when love bites you on the arse.Bric is the darker of the three, seemingly unpredictable with a penchant for BDSM. Bric is the whipping boy in more ways than one. Bric seems to the key stone for these three men, he is the one that holds them all together and is the fixer. Despite not really knowing that much about him, you can tell that he is dependable, reliable and loves Smith and Quin like brothers. These three are inseparable. They all have each other’s back, they are a unit, a family.This book was a compelling read, one that I read in one sitting and didn’t want to put down or want to end. This is the first book of a series and while this wrapped up nicely for one there are still questions that need to be answered and two men that need to meet their match. JA Huss nailed these characters, she bought all four to life with her perfect penmanship and has left me anxiously salivating for more. The intimate scenes between these as couples, threes and the quad were extremely hot, tasteful and erotic, none were over the top, just adding substance and emotion to an already thoroughly engaging story. I loved the plot line, the rules and the way that JA Huss keeps you on your toes throughout, keeping your brain matter whirring a mile a minute as you patiently wait to get your questions answered. I cannot wait for book 2, bring it on.“Perfect on the outside is only half the story, right?”

This author continues to amaze me! I continue to believe her mind is a very wicked, scary place indeed and we love every minute of it! Once again, we are thrown into a very twisted new world in J.A. Huss’ new series, Turning, in book 1, Taking Turns. You will be left wondering what did I just read and when can I get my hands on the next book!Though I loved the blurb and was immediately intrigued, I have come to always expect the unexpected with J.A. Huss! She gave us a story of four different people who play a game of exploring their wants and needs. Three very gorgeous, alpha males who share a woman. But when that woman leaves, there are rules to follow. But before running away, she left something behind.And so we meet Cella, Quin, Smith and Bric. And we get all their point of views! Every single, hot, tingling one! It was a very interesting approach to tell the story and allowed us to connect with each character individually. Each harboring their own secrets and desires, but who somehow fit together.Bric, Quin and Smith have been playing a game with Rochelle for the last three years at the Turning Point Club. It’s a place where you can come and live out your fantasies. But when Rochelle leaves, they are left wondering why and why did she leave a replacement behind.What a wonderful, taboo story that pushes all the boundaries and limits. And though we get some very hot, steamy scenes, we also get a story about secrets, desires, hope and so much more. There is so much I want to share, but it is also a story you must experience for yourself. Every twist and every turn. Another great read from J.A. Huss.Taking Turns by J.A. Huss was an amazing, steamy and erotic 5-star read for me.

I like the story even though i am not into 3somes

Rochelle scappa e lascia un piccolo regalo: Chella, un intrigante mora disponibile a prendere il suo posto. Quin non è convinto, mentre gli altri due sono interessati. Un romanzo poco convenzionale che si trasforma in una storia d'amore. Scritto tramite i punti di vista dei vari personaggi.

Loved this one! I always see JA Huss' books advertised and finally bought myself one and dove right in. Consumed the story in hours and loved it. Characters were well-written and the connections between them were all great. I love how it ended, differently than I expected from a group relationship story, but it was an awesome ending. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Ich muss vorweg nehmen, dass ich das Hörbuch gehört habe und mich die Sprecher es einfach geschaft haben mich voll mit rein zu ziehen in die Story ..Anfangs dachte ich ..man, was ist denn dass für eine Geschichte 3 Männer 1 Frau und dazu noch mit all diesen Regeln ... aber nach einer Weile hat mich das Buch nicht mehr los gelassen und ich habe mittlerweile alle 3 Teile gehört/gelesen und alle sind schon teilweise hart geschrieben, aber doch immer so, dass man es nicht weg legen möchte. Es ist spannend und die Personen kommen immer sehr gut heraus.Ich muss gestehen, dass mir die Sex-Szenen mir teilweise etwas zu "dirty" sind, aber die Story ist interessant ;-).
