I'm a big girl and although it was a little big at the top (pinned it and it was ok-professional altering would be better) I felt amazing in it. The fabric was stretchy but not clingy. A little hard to iron so get it pressed. I got lots of compliments. I went with the red which is a blue based bed. The shape/silhouette is flattering for any size woman imo. It was comfy. Didn't really need spanks under. Just a lovely, well made, comfy, dress that I felt great in and got lots of compliments on.

First, I am a size large. I ordered up because everyone said it ran small. I got an XL, and it's a bit big. I could have ordered a large. But, the fit isn't terrible, even being a tad big. The material is heavier, and it's really nice. It's not a cheap material. I am wearing a petticoat in the pic, and it makes it nice and full looking. Very happy with this dress.

I’m 5’9” 180 lb with a long torso and small/medium bust. Ordered a Medium. I generally fit in medium dresses when they’re stretchy because size larges are usually too big in the bust for me. This is a size Medium in the photo. It’s pretty cozy up there in the chest because the material is not stretchy and it is zippered all the way up the back. I’m going to try a size large just for reference but I’m happy with the chest coverage in the medium.It’s very flowy in the waist which is nice for dinner events that might leave you normally trying to suck it in. NO POCKETS!!The zipper is not top quality so I can imagine if you’re not careful, it will break with too much force so trust the person zipping you up with all your heart. FYI, There is a band just under the cups that create an extra tuff of material that the zipper has to gently yet also firmly get over.I ordered a few white belts that might add some flare to that band nicely but can also be worn as is!Easy to dress up for a formal event (why I bought it) or throw on a Jean jacket and flats and go casual.Again material is stiff—no stretch, so it’s slightly restricted in the arm pits but not so much that I cant raise my arms. I’m happy with the arm pit coverage which is always a self conscious trigger for me. I’ll have to follow up with what it looks like when I sweat here…Overall, there are lots of mixed reviews on this one but I say take the risk and try it on. My husband seemed genuinely wowed when I walked in the room. The only thing that would make this a 5 star dress is POCKETS! And maybe a 1-2% elastic material blend for some breathing room.

I love this dress, it's retro feel, ability to pair it with sweaters and jackets to get a variety of looks from flirty to flashy. The only negative is the dress is a bit hard to wash. You really need to pull this out of the washer and hang it up to dry. In the dryer it came out with a lot more wrinkles. I did put it into the dryer by itself and pulled it the moment the buzzer went off and that wasn't good. I have taken it to the cleaners a few times and of course it comes back fabulous. But in spite of the cleaning issue, it has become a favorite in my closet for this year. If you like the look, you won't mind the minor issues with cleaning.

I was skeptical this would fit nicely for the price, but was pleasantly surprised. It fit perfect. I'm 6' 175lb and ordered a large. I paired it with the red tutu underneath and is super cute. The zipper is a little cheap and I can tell may not hold up forever but I needed this for an event so I'm very happy with the purchase.

No pockets, needs to be dry cleaned, very very fitting. If your petite need to buy either medium or small.

My measurements are 40" bust and 40" waist and 36" hip. I'm 170lbs and 5'8". Mother of multiple children.I really wanted to like this dress based on the listing photo but it fits strangely on me. The waist is very fitted. A bit strained to breathe. The chest is loose on the top hem line only so bending over would display my ladies. The tightness of the chest was fine, note it was only the top of the hem. If ppl are looking straight at you, they wouldn't notice the looseness, only when you bend. The ruffled effect at the chest was there but the pretty way the listing dress laid in the skirt was definitely there. It was just a bell shape. I did not have a petticoat on, mind you, but I purposely stood over the AC vent so it would billow to see how it would look. It was absolutely disappointing.The sleeves were cut very well so as there would be probably zero sweat stain issues. Moving my arms up and down was not fluid though. When I moved my arms up, the entire dress came up... meaning there would be constant and neverending adjusting.The color I ordered was the coral. It was more pink to me than coral but that could be a matter that each individual would need to determine for herself. Since I needed it to be coral for a wedding, the hue was a miss for me.My overall assessment is that if you have a lovely curvy figure, this will flatter in all the positive ways. But for me having the same circumference of chest and tummy but small hips meant it didn't have a flattering effect for my body shape.I think I will be returning.

This dress is pretty and the fit is good. I was hoping for a more formal look as described but it is more for casual outings or work. Because it is cotton, it will wrinkle easily and need ironing, it also came out of the small package very wrinkled. Overall it is a good casual dress for spring or summer though.

This dress is well made and the material is beautiful. This cut looks exceptional well on slim people and not so faltering on tall regular sized person.

I bought the dress for an on-stage appearance, looking for a simple little black dress with a retro appeal.The fabric is good, sturdy quality cotton. The v-neck draped front is flattering and sexy, but not too revealing, and for middle-aged ladies like myself I prefer the litte wing-like short sleeves to spaghetti straps. The top of the dress covers bra straps perfectly well, even when dancing; always a plus.I bought 2X large, being a tall, statuesque person, and for me the waistline is a little to high up - or my torso is too long - but the dress fits fine and overall looks really cute. The elastic waistline makes changing without help easier (there is a long zipper in the back that takes some contortionist ability to zip completely by yourself) and makes for a very comfy outfit. Careful: when sitting down in hot weather and sweating, the fabric really crumples and will not hang back out without ironing.
