it's ok
I got a few of these types of wallets in different styles from different sellers. While this one looks very nice, it's almost over-engineered in my opinion. It's bulkier than the others and costs more. There are better and less expensive options that accomplish the same thing. Also, generally speaking, this is not the most optimal type of wallet out there. There are very thin bi-folds with RFID protection that are more versatile and easier to manipulate. And if the RFID isn't a concern, a decent clip works well too.Bottom line - if you like this type of wallet and your emphasis is on style, you'll probably like this a lot. But if you prioritize minimalism, then there are better options.

Good quality, a little sharp at the edges, does ~NOT~ block NFC skimming.
The wallet itself is solidly built from machined aluminum. Craftsmanship is good, although I did have to file down the edges since they were all very sharp and unfinished. That sucks, but it's definitely something that was easy to rectify. The issue is that it does ~not~ block RFID readers from snatching data off NFC cards inside the wallet. I had an unknown charge show up on one of the cards I had in this wallet last night. After canceling the card, ordering another, and disputing the charge, I tested the wallet against my SQUARE contactless card reader and it read the card right through the aluminum from both directions. I had the card sandwiched between four other cards, then moved it to the middle of the wallet with all four cards and the wallet's aluminum slab between the NFC card and the reader and it still read it without hesitation. In all, this is a decent minimalist wallet that can also open bottles if that's what you're looking for, but it does ~NOT~ protect you from NFC card skimming.

Rolling the dice???
Okay well first off I have probably spent a good 6 months researching these wallets. They all seem to be basically the same. Sure I could have bought one for 20-40 bucks. It probably would end up being a pile of crap.I'm not sure the real reason why I chose this one. But I am not disappointed. I like that they are hand made here in California.I like the leather CNC hybrid concept. I bit the bullet and and ordered it. I was really excited for it show. I like it came with a paracord lanyard but I will end up using my spyderco one.I highly recommend this. This isn't a gamble. You honestly get what you pay for.I will probably order the all black one soon. And stocking stuffers for all the dudes in my family.I how ever am very worrisome about the band breaking over time. I hope I should be able to get replacement. And also the stitching. How it will old up. It was amazing touch.I really appreciate the design and off set on the tones. I would say this was a very good addition to my EDC.

Lasted 2 minutes before leather tore.
The screws holding the leather are way too close to the edges. Inserted 2 cards into the leather compartment, and the leather tore right through. Wallet lasted about 2 minutes, very disappointed.

Mostly positive - but don't use the "bottle opener"!
After a few weeks experience, I have updated my review and dropped it a notch from 4 to 3.There are lots of wallets like this around, and I've tried a few. Most recently I went full minimalist and just used a carbon fiber money clip. But it was impossible to slide bills into it without surrounding them with protective credit cards - the bills would just crumple up, And taking only one card out was pretty difficult if you had more than 5 or 6. But enough of that...It is easy to get 1 or 2 cards in and out of the front slash pocket (more than that and it gets super tight), and the band holds bills for easy insertion and removal. And I like the feel of it. Also, if a part wears out, you can order replacements: pockets, bands, and even screws.I didn't want the multi-tool version, but the one I ordered had a bottle opener as kind of a standard feature. After 3 days, I was no longer able to resist, so I tried it out. It worked, but it left sharp burrs on the soft aluminum wallet frame. I had to file them down. It looks a little less spiffy now :(As to putting the bulk of your cards into the back slot, that's where it falls down. There is a loose plate that no longer fits into a machined out slot after you get 4 or 5 cards in there, so it floats around. It is very difficult to get individual cards out, and even more difficult to get them back in without a third hand. The band is really tight, so pulling the plate out to insert the cards isn't easy, especially considering you only have the fingers of one hand to do it (the other hand holds the cards you want to insert).

My daily driver now.
Nice, unique, few drawbacks. The aluminum frame and plate are sturdy and ... Substantial - no need to worry about your cards getting bent or curved. The silicone (elastic) strap is just the right tension and the leather section is very nice - color, thickness, and finish. This is a very good-looking piece and does it's job well. I have about 8 or 9 cards in it so it is getting a bit bulky, the aluminum plate now stands proud from the frame about 3/8"so I'll probably reduce the number of cards I carry. The one drawback is that it's narrower than American $ so you'll have to fold them in thirds if you're like me and don't want them flopping over the sides. The indent to push the cards out is a nice feature and - if you want - you can push your go-to out far enough to swipe it without removing it completely - very convenient and increases the cool factor too!

This is a horrible wallet!
This is a horrible wallet!! It does not hold cash securely enough. I had 130 dollars, six 20 dollar bills and a 10, it fell out at some point when I pulled the wallet out of my pocket and I lost the money. Junk!!!
