Q: the description says this is suede lace but that makes no sense- is this suede OR lace

It's lace as in "shoe lace" or anything else you want to LACE UP. That means it's a narrow strip of suede leather. We use it for cat toys.

Q: Is this purple like a team purple? like lsu?

It comes as a lighter shade of purple. Not necessarily a deep purple like lsu would have.

Q: is this soft and easy to work with like wrapping around rings for dreamcatchers? I have found some that are way too stiff to work with.

It fairly soft and flexible. I also use it for Dreamcatchers. I will say it's a little thinner in width than most other suede lace so it takes extra length to wrap around metal rings. I do get some parts that are stiffer as the spool runs down. I cut it down to smaller yardage and roll it in between the palms if my hands. It releases some of the lint on the suede as well as soften it.
