Tempress Mounting Plate Elite Seat

You do not need this to install your seat. However, they must have had trouble with the seat cracking around the mount. All this is is a reinforcement plate for the seat. Its probably a good idea making the base stronger. It is "not" an adapter. This should come with the seat as much as they charged for it. It is an excellent seat. I think they just got greedy selling this separate to us. I would give it a higher rating if it had come with the seat. I imagine it cost about $3.00 to make!

Works fine when you provide the proper length bolts to mount it. No huge deal unless you are in a hurry to mount your seat and hit the water. The factory bolts you get with your seat are not long enough with this added between the seat and mount base. I also added fkat washers and star lock washers rather than loctite

If you use Tempress seats, you better have one of these. They will not honor the warranty without it. Its just a piece of plastic that spreads the weight out so the screws don't pull out. So far my seats are fine. That being said, the seats make a lot of squeaking and creaking noise brought on by the plastic rubbing on each other! This is extremely annoying. There must be something better.

My likes are it definitely beefs up the bottom of my seat, would like to see it include the hardware needed.

I hesitated to order this product after reading some of the reviews but thought I could re-engineer any flaws I would encounter. Truth is there were no flaws. This mounting plate bolted up to my Tempress seat perfectly. I highly recommend this product.

I wish this item would have included the required longer stainless steel screws. As the 4 screws that included in the Tempress seat are not long enough when adding their required mounting plate. And of course 8 screws are now required.
