Bought these to carve some pumpkins. The tools aren't as sharp and were tougher to use than the cheap carving tools I bought. Packaging is nice but not useful if you need to do a lot of large carving cuts.

This is a great set for the average pumpkin carver who just does pumpkins on Halloween. A much better alternative to the plastic kits you find in the grocery store. The tools worked great and are rather sturdy so I did not have any concerns about them coming apart while carving. Another bonus is that they have a case so you just clean them up and tuck them away for next year.

I ran out of time that week. If I had not had the kit, it would have been a dangerous struggle with knives. These tools help you to carve and be ready with your Jack o lantern very quickly. I had a lot of fun with it!! When using knives that are not for this purpose, one exposes ones self to cutting ones self. We don't want that!
