Revised product review of VENETIO Drying Rack
As a small manufacturer, I take product quality very seriously, so I feel compelled to revise a former negative review of this product. When I first used this drainboard the diverter leaked water all over the counter instead of directing it to drain into the sink. Upon further inspection of the issue, I realized that since I had an older sink with a fairly high lip on top of the counter, I was having an issue. The diverter rested on the lip of the sink which caused it to bend at the seam of the diverter sections allowing the water to leak onto the counter. Since the overall quality, size, functionality and design of the drying rack was excellent, I decided to make a simple, inexpensive modification to the design by gluing 4 plastic blocks---available here on Amazon---to each of the legs of the rack. Voila! As you can see in the pictures, the diverter is now at the proper angle so it doesn't leak and it performs beautifully. Obviously, most consumers that have a more modern set-in sink that's below the counter surface will have no issues whatsoever. For others like me, raising the rack by 1", does the trick. In this case, form truly does follow function, and in terms of utility, quality and performance, this drying rack excels. Great product!

Fantastic dish rack!
I was hesitant to spend so much money on a new dish rack but ours was looking really old and rusty and we don't have a dishwasher so I wanted something sturdy that would hold up to everyday use. I measured my counter space and found that this one would fit perfectly and I really liked the idea of draining the water into the sink with the little spout.I've been using it for a month now and it's been a great purchase, worth every penny. It's very sturdy. I did struggle to get the plastic base onto the cutlery holder, it was a very tight fit. Otherwise assembly was very simple. No signs of rust, though it's only been a month so far but my fingers are crossed that it will stay that way.

Good Dish Rack, Questionable Cutlery Holder
Pro: This dish rack has plenty of room. Appears sturdy. I like the look and the idea that it is rustproof. You have the flexibility of where to place the cutlery rack, and the 2nd tier can be removed if you choose.Cons: Design could be improved. The cutlery connectors were challenging to slide onto cutlery holder as instructions demonstrated. I added a little vegetable oil to help install. In the process, one connector broke. The cutlery rack does not appear to fit as intended, but seems to work.Cup holders sit on the outside edge of rack, outside of the drain tray, thus not very functional for draining. The disassembling instructions aren’t really needed, as all it tells you to do is “knock down the upper tier” and “reassemble” to use. Both of which is fairly obvious at this point.

LOVE IT!
The design is so functional with the full flat bottom and upper storage for small items! The gray color blends well in our kitchen and the aluminum is nice knowing it won't rust. The glass holders are a little delicate so we only use them when necessary for small lightweight glasses. The bottom rack grids move a little (not as sturdy as expected, but not really a problem. The upper ones are strong. When we built it, the silverware holder was very hard to slide on but my husband tapped it with the end of a screwdriver and forced it on. So far no problem.

Cheap plastic parts, and bent frame
Cheap plastic parts, and bent frame. The plastic cup holders and tray holders broke during install. Very cheap plastic and thin frame. I do not recommend

This would be a one star product if it didn't look so cool
Pros: It looks awesome, aluminum frame and rubber mats, sturdy, removable top drain rack.Cons: Designed to only work with sinks that are level with the counter top. If your sink has a lip that makes it sit higher than the counter top, it probably will not drain properly. Mine is about 1/2" higher and it would not drain. Also the drain sleeve that rotates around is not water tight and leaks if it is not angled steeply enough to keep water off of it.The drain mat under aluminum frame is not wide or long enough to capture all the water. If you notice the pictures, you'll see that the frame extends out beyond the mat on all sides. any dishes leaning on the frame will not leak into onto the mat, but onto the counter top instead. It should be about 1/2" longer and wider to fix this issue. The utensil drainer is designed to be in an awkward location. Who wants to reach over a rack full of dishes everytime to put a fork in the drainer? You can move it to the side, but you have to adjust the clamps to a position they weren't designed for and it is noticeable. That is inexcusable for a $70 dish drainer. Also, when installed according to the instructions, the utensil drainer is not angled steep enough to allow water to drain correctly. So you have to fix this issue by only clamping it on one rail instead of two. It's not overly notceiable, but again, uforgiveable in a dish drainer at this price point. These are basic issues with the product that you will likely need to fix if you buy it. I was able to fix several issues by putting the drainer on a bar mat to raise the height, but it's an added hassle.

Clever design, good-looking, functional drying rack.
Great neutral color, open, spacious, clever design with adjustable utensil tray and cup hooks. The only part that doesn't quite work well is the slight space between the utensil tray drain and the drying rack base tray. Even with the very slight gap in contact, water drips out onto the counter top. It is a simple fix. I just attached the utensil tray at more of an angle (which makes for better drainage) and inserted spacers b/t the rack frame and the utensil tray arms to hold the angle. This puts the utensil tray drain arm directly over the drying rack base - no dripping. Love the adjustable 360 degree base tray drain spout. Smart!!
