Robinair 43180 Aluminum 2-Way Manifold Digital Gauge Set for use with 17 Common Refrigerants

As a refrigeration tech, Accurate readings are important. I've used these twice and really don't regret buying them. I may switch out the gauges to a four hose manifold i have. (I should have just bought the gauges any way. Its cheaper that way.) The batteries were DOA. No biggie. I keep AAA around. The set seems to work great. Remember to turn them off. I left these connected to a unit and left them on while I went to a supply house. They were still on when I got back. I finished charging the unit and they never went off. I don't like the dummy hose connection on the ends. I may switch it to a 90*. The charging hose has a tee fitting with a valve stem. ??? Overall, I'm happy.

The first set came to me broken. The suction gauge would not read. Sent it back and got a replacement. That seems to be working fine. I like the temp equivalent is displayed when the proper refrigerant is selected. Makes getting superheat/sub cooling readings easier without looking at a P&T chart. It's easy to calibrate the gauges too. I wished the auto shut off would be longer. The gauges turn off too soon for me as well as the back light. Since the first set came broken, I do,worry about the durability. But the gauges seem to be holding up so far.

I've only had them for about 5 months. Gauges are already faulty. They require constant recalibration. They some times lose calibration while you're using them! Also they turn off to quick. I've replaced the low side with a standard Guage already with the high side soon to followDon't waste your money. I am very disappointed
