One of the best
I ordered this set on the 15th... I got it on the 16th! So I would recommend Amazon to anyone. It arrived in great condition and was packed very well. The set itself is amazing! I've wanted a half-track for almost as long as I have wanted a two-in-one detachable set. This shines in both areas. The wheels in the back are sturdy, stylish, and SNOT (studs not on top). The overall color scheme is beautiful. The treads in the front can swivel up and down which I find a little superfluous but good for traversing high objects. The separating mechanisms are flawless. You can only disconnect the jet if you extend the wings. When I was building the hinges of the wings, I was so flabbergasted I cackled like a super villain who's plan had just succeeded. The ammo belt like shocks where really cool. I like how the golden knives can disconnect and be used as weapons for the ninja, Who by the way are worth their weight in gold... Really! I checked how much the cost separately and they cost like 30 bucks! this way I got them for about two dollars each. I love roomy cockpits and this has very spacey drivers seats. unfortunately the entire thing can only hold two ninja. The sound cannons are absurd though. they're flimsy, breakable and they can't aim forward, so if you're looking forward to reenacting the scene were it is first built I hate to disappoint you. The fire has great detail with the embers beneath them. The jet engines are fine, not the best, but they're good. There is a surprising lack of weapons. It kind of nice that it is so travel oriented. The whole build is extremely strong. it has not broken once. (besides the cannons) The headlights are interesting. I have never seen a set so ready for darkness. The rocket on either side look cool but they don't fire well. The pros far out way the cons. I got it for 55 dollars and it's worth every penny. You can also save it and when it goes out of stock you can flip it for triple the price!.

Fantastic Lego set for the Ninjago lovers
Our boys (3 and 5) are Ninjago crazy right now. We started off with a few smaller Ninjago sets for our 5 year old and have gradually gotten into bigger sets as his interest grows. We have already watched the entire Cartoon Network series on DVR (over the course of many weeks) and they both know all the characters very well. The Raider is 1/2 jet 1/2 ATV type vehicle that is shown in the second season Ninjago cartoon a few times. It is a very cool vehicle, even for adults! I was SHOCKED how much thought went into this set, from the jet "releasing" itself from the ATV portion (which actually happens in one of the episodes). My boys appreciated that. The tread on the tractor-type wheels are individually built, not just some "band" you wrap around. You actually have to put it together first and connect it like a belt. It actually turns and rolls very well on carpet. The tread is a smooth plastic instead of rubber though, so on hard surfaces like our stone floors, the tread just slides instead of turns. On the dorky side, this set comes with Pythor (the purple snake) which is one of the Serpetine leaders in the series. He is quite the character and my 5 year old likes him. You cannot get many of the characters on their own unfortunately (unless you go on eBay where sellers are charging $10-$20 for characters FROM THIS BOX and others - literally they are building sets and selling the minifigures separately for a lot of money). In any case, this set is well worth the money and as a parent I really appreciate all the effort and engineering that goes into Legos, especially the Ninjago series which are so unique and creative.

What can I say - it's Lego!
These are the best toys. Legos are sturdy, creative, last forever, and have endless possibilities. This was the perfect set for a Christmas gift for my 9 yr old son. Not too complicated (he actually finished assembling it in less than an hour Christmas day which kind of surprised me, but I guess he was excited) but large enough to keep the interest for a long time. It comes with SEVERAL figures which, as you know, is sometimes the harder things to find. This adds to the imaginative play the children can engage in. And the price was reasonable. Sometimes these larger sets are simply ridiculous in price. I think I got this one for about $70.

Good Product - a bit overpriced
I bought this for my 6 year old son who is a Lego and more specifically a Ninjago fan. with a little help from me- we had this built in 4 days (about 30-40 min per sitting). It got me interested as well. My recommendation is to open the little packets in the order marked- my son opened all of them together - so the hardest part was to find the pieces. Also the pieces are so tiny- so be careful and have a box/ bowl handy to collect them and its very easy to lose them. Also keep away from little kids. The final product is very cool, and also feels very satisfying- the only problem that other people have commented on ( and this is not a criticism on this particular product- rather all Lego toys)- that once built there is not much to do other than admire the piece of art. Even though my son likes to tinker around with it- switch the guys in the 2 little cockpits- taking out the jet part and flying it- it only keeps him busy for a short period of time. So I think the only option is to make it into a display- thats the reason for my 4 star

Father and son playtime
We purchased several Ninjago sets, books and CDs for my grandson for Christmas. Ninjago Legos are the best for sharing time between father ( my son) and son ( my 6 year old grandson). They build these together and display them in my granson's room. Everytime we come over he has a new display to share with us along with a story. While my grandson is slightly younger than the age recommended, he has become a master builder with his Dad's help. Reminds me of the wonderful Lego-time for my son when he was a boy. Lego sets are truly collectable if you keep the box and directions. My son and grandson have re-built the Pirate ship and Knight castle, among others, from 20 years ago.

All good and dandy
I'm gonna be honest, I thought I might have been scammed at first since it couldn't be this easy to get it. But all in all it's good and it is official. I still got to build it but it's gonna look great.
