Yes, you have to assemble these, that's what plastic models are all about. They're N Scale, so they are small. That said, the assembly is simple and the finished tanks look very nice, with plenty of detail molded in. Placing these next to buildings really bring a scene to life.

Easy to put together and has good details

As one reviewer noted, these tanks require assembly. Four of them were simple to assemble, just prime, cut, file, glue and paint. But the two upright tanks on legs were surprisingly difficult to assemble. I eventually gave up on the legs for the smaller upright tank. Having built the tanks, they will work great in various layout scenes. Given the low price involved, I would consider the kit worth buying. Five stars for four of the tanks, two stars for the two upright tanks.

The box is labeled Ho scale and the instructions say N scale, what is it?

The stands on the white tanks are a little difficult. Be careful cutting them from the sprue. They look good on the layout but should be weathered.

Ordered wrong scale, but did them any how. Very important part to any out back approach.

These have really small, individual legs so it was kind of hard to put together. Otherwise, they look great.
