Wonderful tool
I am very impressed with the quality of the work and care taken in packaging and shipping. This is a wonderful tool made with a lot of care. The finish is absolutely perfect. The design is very smart, ergonomic and done by someone who actually understands knitting. The base is nicely heavy, this is a guarantee that the spinner will not turn over. The motion of the spinner is just right - smooth and steady.I was very impressed with the ease of putting it together and the quality of the packaging.I will definitely buy again.

Wish I had this before now! I have been crocheting for years and this yarn holder makes such a difference! No more snagged yarn or chasing rolling skeins!

Non stop crocheting or knitting!
I love that I don’t have to stop to pull the yarn out of the skein, but found that it needed to be off the floor. The way the yarn is wrapped has it sitting on itself and it gets stuck. I put it on an end table and don’t have to stop at all! Wish I had seen this years ago!

Does it's job, just needs a little improvisation to fit my needs
Needed a portable holder for skeins of yarn that I just didn't want to fight with to find the center pull. Assembled very easily and quickly. Quality is great. Wood is finished in a pleasing color to highlight the grain, and is smooth all over. No areas to snag the yarn. The only things I needed to improvise on was a non skid surface for placing the holder on the arm of my recliner, and something to prevent the yarn from slipping between the bottom plate it sits on and the base and stopping the spin.I think it came with little adhesive backed silicone-ish feet, but that wouldn't work for my situation. Improvised with a remnant of a rug gripper that does the trick. Gives the base something to grip, and stops the holder from sliding around. To keep the yarn from slipping between the plate and the base, I improvised with a paper plate. I Snipped a small 'X' in the center of the plate to poke the tapered rod through, and pushed the plate upside down to rest on the bottom plate. Then placed the yarn on the holder. As you can see the large skein I'm using relaxes down to far exceed the small diameter of the bottom plate, but the paper plate supports it just fine and the working yarn does not slip between the bottom wood plate and base.4 Stars because of my situation, but if you're using it on a flat surface, and with small sturdy skeins, you won't have those issues!

If you don't center pull you need this
I got this because a few of my skiens just WOULD NOT center pull for me. Rather than make a big gutted mess I decided to get something that meant I could easily have it turning while I was working on whatever I was working on easily. It glides pretty easily, sometimes if the yarn gets stuck in the track it does have a harder time spinning and you have to stop what you are doing and fix that, but over all I've not had any issues with this, even using big bulky bernat blanket yarn on it worked well

Perfect for large fluffy yarn
I love that I can do big projects with large yarn and not have to worry about it tipping over or not spinning because of the yarns size. I got the one with the table clip and it’s so sturdy and can handle my pulling while making large projects with bulky yarn

Don’t purchase this item
Still fell over after putting a ball of yarn on it. Base isn’t heavy enough. Waste of money
