Eureka AirSpeed EXACT Pet Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, AS3001AA,Red

I bought this vacuum "Open Box" - "Used" on Amazon.It was the last one of this type and the price was only $45! Much better than what vacuums like it are selling for.I had a Eureka before and have never been happier with a vacuum cleaner. I had to leave it behind at my last apartment and couldn't bring it since I was getting on a plane and couldn't ship it. I had it for 3 years and it functioned like it was a brand new, so I decided to get another Eureka.After reading many reviews of other vacuums and checking out various ones in the stores, I decided to purchase this one after seeing it on Amazon. It looks like a newer model of what I use to have.Like I said, I bought it "Used", but when I got it the vacuum looked like it had never been used since it had no dust particles on it whatsoever. It was open boxed because I could see where it had been opened before, but everything was packed individually and wrapped.It was easy to put together and it works really well so far. My only complain is that it's a little flimsy especially compared to the older model Eureka that I had, but it seemed like other model vacuums in the store were really flimsy as well, so for the price I'm extremely satisfied and hope it lasts for years to come.

When I was looking into getting a new vacuum when our old ones retractable cord ate itself and wouldn't power on I was over whelmed by expensive choices. We live in an older house and dust is always an issue along with my husband and our boys tracking in sorry from the baseball field. I seem to go thru vacuums every few years. I didn't have the money to spend a lot, I checked this unit out and it got great reviews but was way cheaper than all the rest. I decided to gamble on it. Wow so worth the price. It felt a little cheap when I snapped it together (no tools needed) but when I went to use it I really felt the difference. It made my old carpet look new. You can watch the cup fill up quickly makes you want to keep using it to see if you can stop picking up more dirt. Very impressed, don't be afraid of the price it's a sucking machine. The good:When it worked, it worked as well as you can expect from a ~$50 vacuum.The wand attachment worked OK for collecting hair, but had poor suction and the brushes would barely spin.Easy to assemble, lightThe bad:Immediately off the bat, you notice how loud and annoying it sounds. Yes, even for a vacuum.I cannot emphasize how cheaply made it feels. Everything creaks and nothing feels substantial.The hose will NOT stay attached. You can count on it disconnecting (at least once) every time you use it.You should know that the cord is not retractable, and there is no light. I don't understand how they couldn't include a 50 cent LED in 2018.The ugly:Remember how I mentioned it being extraordinarily loud? That masked the sound of the cheap internal components slowly failing.Within a month the sound morphed into an occasional grinding noise.Eventually, the main brush simply stopped spinning. I opened it up and expected to replace the main belt. The belt was perfectly fine, but had slipped off the metal pin roller. Simple fix right? WRONG There is a second guide pin that kept the belt from sliding off. Over time, the cheap plastic that kept it secured had disintegrated. It's not worth going into the details, but this was obviously some poor design/engineering. This component will almost always fail when it is so dependent on some flimsy plastic housing. Embarrassing.Bottom line: I didn't even bother contacting Eureka about it. I didn't want it to be replaced with another chintzy piece of trash. After a bit of runaround, Amazon was gracious enough to allow me to return it for a partial refund. Never again, Eureka.

arrived a few minutes ago, took my husband under 5 minutes to put it together and picks up GREAT. With 2 long haired women, 2 cats and a white fluffy dog and white fluffy cat, we burn through vacuums at a rapid rate no matter what we pay for them. Very impressed with how easy it is to empty the canister, beats the last one by about 10 minutes. It does say never loses suction and it does have a very short hose and what looks to be washable filters, so we shall see.The only con I see so far is the handle is a little flimsy, but since I don't intent to box or wrestle it, just vacumn with it, it hits all my bullet points at an unbelievable price.

SEVEN STARS !! This is without a doubt the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. This thing is a BEAST !! This machine cleans deeply and raises the pile Significantly . My medium pile carpet is ten years old and initially I bought a Dyson for far more than I paid for this exquisite light weight machine. This thing picked up stuff the Dyson didn’t even know was there. Being a owner of two boxers I was concerned that the vacuum I use would be effective in removing the fine hair and dander. . . the Dyson was not. This Eureka machine has serious suction and excellent brush action. As a former electro-mechanical engineer I was so impressed with the efficiency of this machine. If you have an older carpet and need to DEEP CLEAN it , this is the machine. This thing pulled up so much fine particulates that I was completely amazed and frankly shocked that so much dirt was in my carpet. The key is SLOOOW backstrokes. Forward motion is just to get it in place for the real cleaning stroke which is backwards, slow as you can and you will be amazed at what this machine will extract from your carpet. At this price I think I’ll buy another to keep in reserve.

For the price it is an okay vacuum. The wheels are very squeaky and it feels cheaply made and as if it might fall apart soon. The upholstery part that is supposed to be attached to the vacuum will NOT stay attached to it. It is literally falling off as soon as you touch the vacuum - very bad design and annoying. Also I have no idea where the third part goes (cleaning brush) Considering returning. It does the job fine - acceptable suction and everything else works fine so far. If you don't want to spend more money, it will do the job.
