If it's shrink wrap it should come with the manual, but I think all manual are digital now and are on the game menu

Can you play versus or survivers like in RE5?

Yes, but it has to be ONLINE for versus, and "survivers" is the hard mode in the game.

Does this game play on ds lite

Unfortunately it wouldn't work on the original DS, DS Lite, DSi, and DSi XL. But will work only on the 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, New 3DS, New 3DS XL, and New 2DS XL.
