Perfect size for on the go.
Good spacious bag with plenty of compartments. It carrys more than I was expecting it's plenty big enough for everything for a day hike/1 night camp. It has the hooks for a water bladder and it has the hole for a straw.

nice usable bag at a practical price
well as a general work (carryall & weekend day trip bag) upto now its been really good. the pockets are deep enough & spacious, the zips seem to be pretty sturdy etcthe straps all seem good & very nicely padded, with support along your body etc the shoulder straps are fully adjustable, with a nice waist line best (with added pockets etc again fully adjustable) theirs also a handy rain cover (oddly not attached by any strap its loose to go anywhere) which I find abit weird, other bags with rain covers I've found to be always attached by a cord.the headphone/water bottle pass through point is also a potential failure area, ie light rain prior to fitting the rain cover expect water to get inside as it doesn't seal, the rubber tags are very loose fitting (there directly at the top of the bag making it worse etc) also the large external pocket is fully exposed so water or dirt/rubbish could easily get trapped inside & fowl the bag from within (I cant understand why you'd leave any pocket exposed especially if its a functional pocket..anyway I'll leave this review for now, I'm happy with the delivery & bag itself even if it has got afew little (odd fittings etc) I'll update further once its been put through its paces.

Not 40L
Well-made bag, shame its nowhere near 40l as advertised. Once you fill the main compartment you can only get a few tiny items into the other pockets. This bag is closer to 25L making it useless as a camping bag and too big for a day hike bag. I hung my sleeping bag and bivvy bag on the outside and still struggled to get a few basics in. You can’t even get a small water bottle into the bottle holder if you have a few items in the main compartment!

Good for trail or town
The overall design of the pack is comfortable and efficient. I especially like the bottom straps, a rare feature in a day pack, that give this pack the versatility to cover longer trips. I did not like the side compression strap arrangement as they cross over the top of the side mesh pockets, making access awkward. The belt pockets are particularly handy for quick snacks on the go. Overall, for a moderate hike or just around town, a good way to carry what you need hands-free.

Very nice, but would question the 40L size
Well made and good backpack, but I am sceptical about its 40L advertised size. Seems a touch small but works very well as a daypack.Could get away with a hammock and tarp for overnights, along with other expected items to carry. But I wouldn't use it for anything more significant than that. But still, quality item.

Perfect for me as an infrequent hiker
I have started using this backpack for the past week and am happy with my purchase. I am climbing fells in the UK Lake District and this backpack is the perfect size for me for a day pack. Plenty of room to store some waterproofs (trousers and jackets), lunch, guide book, Ordnance Survey map, 2 x 1/2 litre water bottles, towel, and some other bits and pieces.

Nice big back, fits my bike tools and work clothes. Water bladder goes with it as well.
Bought this as wanted bigger than the 30L back I had that had a broken zip. too much stuffed in it when on bike to work. this 10L more. wanted to try water bladder and this has one for it (same make and was a pair and discount if by both). Did and that hangs nicely in this. Got a nice reflective bit on back, wanted that as had before on old different make broken bag. Lots of pockets, well made, ok not used 2 weeks but seems ok. Nice bag.

Rain cover NOT waterproof.
I did not expect a high quality rucksack based on the price and, by and large, I was pleasantly surprised. BUT one of the selling points for me was the rain cover. My expectation of this was that it should be waterproof. After an hour of rain the contents of the rucksack were almost as wet as if I hadn't used it. Not a difficult task to make a waterproof cover but the manufacturer of this item has failed dismally.
