MJMIZO Playing Cards

I've been getting into Cardistry recently and found the MJM IZO deck originally at Artofplay.com. I found them here on Amazon so I could use one of my gift cards to order it. On Artofplay.com, this deck is categorized as a Cardistry deck, so I knew it was made for that. However, having never owned an "official" Cardistry deck before, I wasn't sure what to expect compared to regular playing cards.Right out of the box, these cards glide very easily - which is great! But also, it took some getting used to as even small packets can just slide around in your hand if you're not careful. These are a bit thinner stock than most playing cards I've handled, which I imagine is a design choice to make them less stiff when bending.Visually they are amazing. I love the black and neon contrast. The visual design is the real reason I bought them. If you're feeling the cyberpunk-ish colors and clean geometric shapes, buy this deck.Unfortunately the day after these arrived, I spilled a glass of water on them. I am attempting to recover the deck but I will be buying another one from this seller in case my efforts don't pan out. A note on the seller too: these cards arrived in a little tiny cardboard box wrapped in bubble wrap. Nicely packaged and arrived the day before Amazon said it would arrive.In short - beautiful cards, lighter stock made for Cardistry, nicely packaged and promptly arrived.

- This is probably of personal taste, but I find the design a disappointing, and it doesn't draw me in as I expected. Part of the issue is that they seemed to have tried "too much" and lost a bit of coherence. Just b/c you throw in a many geometric shapes as possible doesn't make it a good deck..For instance, the spade design at the center of the card takes a while for you to even realize it's a spade.Also the most boring ace of spades I've seen.- While I don't have too much experience with cardistry, the deck doesn't seem the best for it. While the body is very smooth, it is too smooth and doesn't stick to my hands. On the other hand, the edges happen to be very rough (almost as if they were cutoff from a cardboard or something).- Unfriendly customer support regarding delivery. Not entirely their problem, but I warn you might have a difficult time if they deliver using USPS
