What’s the difference between the Procel alkaline batteries that are black in color versus yellow/orange?

My unofficial answer is: they are all made in China and Duracell batteries USED TO be the premiere batteries of portable devices they are no longer as good as they were. I am sorely disappointed in their lacking quality. Shame on the Duracell folks for letting their quality slip so low! The difference in the black versus the yellow/orange cells is... are you ready?...MARKETING STRATEGY. TA-DA-BA-DA-BOOM!

Picture says 12 batteries. Description says 24. Which is it?

There are two sizes available. You can order a single box of 12 "C" size batteries or you can order a "double" package of 24 "C" size batteries. "Note the difference in pricing between the two options.

C pack of 24 batteries prime says only 12 when added to cart - same price, I'm assuming tbis is a typo ???

Yes, this must be a typo. I ordered this item twice (thinking the first order was a mispick) and both times I received the 12 pack instead of the 24 pack. Just purchase 2 x 12 pks instead so you'll be sure what you're getting. It's not that much more per cell that way.

I received my Batteries on 2/26/19. The date codes were all Mar, 2025.. This would indicate a 3 to 4 year old date code. I am very dissapointed, because I wanted fresh batteries.
