Self intuitive to use if ever needed - makes these small can fire extinguisher valuable to have
I purchased this 2 pack of small fire extinguishers to have on hand in case a fire ever breaks out at my home. While I have smoke detectors, a regular fire extinguisher and a fire blanket, I wanted something that would be super simple to grab up and use without even having to think twice about how it works. Having a fire extinguisher in a can seems to meet that need. With a larger extinguisher, I would have to get it from a different place, get it out of the bracket, and remember how to use it properly. While that should not be a problem, combine it with adrenaline and stress if there is a fire, plus vision problems, it is not the most reassuring feeling. These First Alert EZ Fire Spray cans do away with much of those concerns, as the cans' aerosol spray is good for all types of fires - flammable liquids, wood and paper, and electrical fires, so you do not have to think about whether what is burning matches what the extinguisher will work on. They can be easily stored in the kitchen (or around the house) as they are small, and will also remained pressurized for 3 years. The expiration date on the cans I received were just under 3 years, so were newly made at the time Amazon delivered them. First Alert states on their own website that the cans do remain pressurized beyond 3 years, but there is no way to know when the pressure has fallen too low for the aerosol to spray properly, as a pressure valve cannot be installed on a can.It is a good purchase to have, and I hope I never have to use it .

Easy to use in an emergency
I wanted to replace our outdated fire extinguishers, and decided to go with these instead. I have always been absolutely certain that, in an actual emergency, I would panic and be unable to figure out how to use the traditional extinguisher. These are perfect. I know how to use a spray can, have done it many times, and should be able to do it easily under stress. As recommended in the reviews, I used a sharpie to draw arrows on the spray buttons. I now have one near the dryer and one near the stove - and hopefully I'll never have to use either one!

Not intended for campfires
I keep one of these with my camping stuff in case cooking grease catches while I'm cooking in the woods or something. One of my friends was too lazy too haul water to put out the campfire one night and used this instead. The fire did go out but this little can is not the right size for a big fire. The product works great and should be enough for your kitchen or crafting with a small torch needs but if you are in an environment that might have a large fire you are worried about please buy a proper full size extinguisher.

SMALL, LIGHT & (SHOULD BE) EASY TO USE!
The only thing I don't like about this is the color because it blends in with several of my cleaning product. So, in an emergency type situation (which of course a fire is), It might take a few extra precious seconds to find this. It really does (not exaggerating) look exactly like several of the cleaning products I keep in my hall closet & under my kitchen sink which is where I put these (got two). I got one for upstairs & one for the kitchen. But, I love how SMALL, LIGHT & EASY TO USE! That's why I got them! I had gotten two from a home shopping network but they were quite heavy & more importantly...they were able to be used on all types of fires! THESE CAN BE USED FOR ANY KIND OF FIRE...WOOD, PAPER, ELECTRIC, ETC.!!1

Expiration Dates
I ordered two sets of these fire extinguishers, one for each of our cars and two for the house. They're compact and fit well in the trunk. Hopefully we'll never need to use them. But it's good to know they're there if needed. I do have an issue with the expiration dates on the canisters, one set needs to be replaced September of '28 and the other August of '29. I would have been happier if both the expiration dates were 2029. Conversely if they both had expiration dates of 2028 I wouldn't have been any the wiser. Other than that, good item to have on hand. I rate the concept five stars.

Easy to grab and use. Very effective!
Well, I got to use it tonight and I’m glad I had it. I came home tonight after work and my wife had gone upstairs to sit with one of our cats. She’d left a candle burning on the mantle in the living room as she often does. It’s one of those bowl candles with 3 wicks. I was sitting on the sofa with another of our cats (yep, we have a lot of cats) and I looked over and the whole bowl was on fire with flames literally 8-10 inches high! I ran to the kitchen and grabbed one of these fire extinguisher cans and pulled the top off. Went over to the fire and shot the extinguisher for about 3 seconds which put it out. I noticed that the wax was super hot and you could feel the heat a good foot and a half away. I moved the candle to the deck outside to cool down. I went back and noticed a small white puddle on the mantle and some stuff an inch or two up the wall which I thought was wax but turned out to be the fire extinguisher fluid. I got a kitchen towel and wiped everything off and there was no damage or any mark left behind, as if nothing had happened!! You always wonder what if…if I hadn’t been in the room…if I hadn’t had the extinguisher to hand…well, who knows. Anyway, the extinguisher was easy to use, super effective, and yes, easy to clean off. A perfect product test and it passed with flying colors!!

Saved my wooden deck
While cooking on my griddle, a silicon cooking tool slipped too close to a burn and caught fire. The tool fell into some brush and quickly spread. The fire started on my wooden deck. Fortunately, I had these fire extinguishers handy. It took two of them but they did a great job putting out the flames. I then had time to follow-up with a garden hose. I keep these in my workshop, RV, and near my deck.
