Simple, Classic, and Surprisingly Engaging — A Great Toy for Toddlers
The Original Toy Company Pop Up School Bus is a charming blend of classic wooden toy design and developmental play. As a parent, I’m always on the lookout for toys that are both fun and educational—and this one checks all the boxes. The bus itself is well-crafted with smooth, solid wood and vibrant, non-toxic paint. It feels sturdy and safe, even for curious little hands that love to throw, pull, and chew on everything. The real magic is in the spring-loaded peg passengers—kids press them down and giggle with delight when they pop back up. It’s surprisingly entertaining, even after multiple plays.Beyond the fun, this toy encourages hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and cause-and-effect learning. It’s perfectly sized for toddlers (18 months and up), and I’ve found it to be a hit during playdates—kids are naturally drawn to it.In a world full of noisy, battery-powered toys, this is a refreshing, screen-free option that keeps little ones engaged and learning. A wonderful gift idea and a great addition to any toddler’s toy shelf.

Cute. Pegs are a little small
I bought this as a Christmas gift, so I haven't given it to my 10 month old yet. I can't speak to it's playability. My first impressions are that it's cute and sturdy looking. The pegs were wrapped individually to avoid breakage during shipping, which I appreciate. My only complaint is that the pegs are smaller than I thought they would be. I don't think they are small enough to be a choking hazard, so I didn't take off a star. I still wouldn't let my daughter play with the pegs alone at her age. It would fine when she's a little older or for a baby who doesn't put everything in their mouth while moving around.

Great, Simple Toy!
I bought this toy after reading a mom blog 'Busy Toddler' and she recommended this toy as a really great evolving, intentional toy that isn't easily overlooked after being played with a few times. My 1 year old LOVES this toy!!! She loves crawling around with the little people and often spends a great deal of time putting the people in the bus, and if she puts them in upside down she will take them out and re-insert them. Great for hand and eye coordination! Honestly, it's such a great little, simple toy that does wonders for their little brains. It even looks cute sitting on her toy box when it's not being used. Highly recommend!!!

Pegs do not actually pop up
I guess this was just a misunderstanding from the name of the product, but I expected the little pegs to pop up while the bus was rolling and thought that it would be a fun toy for my 18 month old. The pegs remain quite stationary when the bus is in motion, so I feel the name is misleading. It is otherwise a great product that I'm sure he will have lots of fun with. Very cute and well made, just no "popping"

Love this toy
I got this toy for my 6mo. She can take the pegs out but is still working on putting them back in and it will be a while before she can pop them out. This is well made and I expect it to last us a while. I love that it can continue to be used in many ways as she gets older.

We have lots of fun with this little bus!
Close ended play... just pop the people pegs out of the bus. My kid thinks it's hysterical.Open ended play... who is the red peg and where can we drive him? Good for imaginationThis toy is a great size for little hands too! Rolls easily and the springs for the peg people have a nice bounce.I would definitely gift this item to friends or family BUT I do wish it was about $5 cheaper. I paid $25
