This microwave is worth every penny I’ve been using it for like a year and some months now and it still works perfectly fine. And it is easy to use too. This is one of the best microwave you can find on here

I love my new Farberware Countertop microwave oven! I bought the red, which looks amazing in my kitchen and matches some of my other appliances. It has 1,000 watts and fits nicely on my countertop - not too small/not too large. And the price was right - only $109. To set the timer on "seconds," push the "Time Cook" button, and then the number of seconds you want and push "Start" (it took me a minute to figure this out.) Now, the only thing I'm NOT crazy about, is that it beeps loudly, about 5 times in a row, at the end of cooking, but it I doubt I will be losing sleep over it. Overall a classy, cool look and functions well.

Update:I was able to deactivate the child-safety lock feature.Original Review:I literally just got it today and I used it once for 30 seconds just by hitting the start button so I can't give a detailed review about its quality or longevity. However it looks really nice. It was easy to just get out put on the counter and plug in. I do need to get used to the new regulations on these microwaves where they are ridiculously forcing these companies to put a safety feature that you can't open the door unless you trigger the unlock.. ridiculous. I totally had forgot about it and I darn near broke the door trying to get it open (I exaggerate but you get the point). I do believe that there's a way to turn it off that you don't have to worry about that feature... But I haven't tried it yet. I think it tells you how in a sticker that's on top of the microwave. My food was heating very nicely even for that 30- second run. It's a good size if you're limited on space. You can definitely get a smaller one that's better for dorms and studios. I'm used to having a much larger full size microwave so this is a downgrade for me. But being in a one bedroom apartment I also need to be mindful of my counter space. But this allows me enough space to do what I typically would use a microwave for. Mostly heating up bowls or plates of food. It's not like I'm sticking an entire turkey in the thing lol.It's a brand that I trust. And it looks beautiful. It looks very high quality.Should anything change I will try to amend this review; but, for now, I have no reason not to give it five stars.

I bought this several months ago and it performs perfectly. I also have a much larger built in microwave and this small one does as good a job with frozen food. I’m very happy with the quality of my purchase: the handle is solid, the buttons are easy to push, setting the clock and other lock features is easy when following directions from the included instructions, turntable spins without issue and the food is cooked as expected. My over the range unit died and I needed something immediately and bought this countertop model. It really is 1,000 watts and makes me realize my range unit was underperforming. The instructions on most frozen foods are finally accurate and I'm no longer having to add extra time to everything. I like the neutral white LED light (not yellow) that accurately depicts the look of the food while cooking. The lock feature is great if you have small kids in your household that could reach or climb onto the countertop suddenly while you're busy cooking. I could see this as the perfect microwave for it's price point for apartments and dorms as well.

I'm giving it 4 stars for two reasons: It tends not to heat completely evenly. Maybe that's only because I didn't stop and start the microwave when cooking frozen dinners as instructed. The other is it started to make a noise in the back that it wasn't making in the beginning only days in that leads me to believe it may stop working at a point.Why did you pick this product vs others?:Price, brand, features and easy sight of buttons Buttons:Easy to see and press.
