It only has 10 ft. of line. It doesn't last long before it doesn't return well. way too expensive. Going back to putting my line in a cheep tape measure. Allot smoother, lasts longer, can use longer line, and a fraction of the price.

works good if it stays dry, if you have to work out in the weather and it gets wet it seems to stick a little and makes it hard to adjust

a must for plumbing without cumbersome level especially rake walls to trusses. My last one lasted about 9 years always in my bags

The old stand by. Durable, effective. I work in commercial construction, I'm hard on all my tools. This gammon reel is on my plumb bob, in my bags, everyday. They burn out eventually in that environment, but the value and versatility are worth every penny.

Reliable standby. I've had and used a gammon reel on my plumb bobs for over 20 years now. These are great string lines for surveying and masonry work. The string does wear out eventually and recovering it from inside the reel can be a pain.
