Q: I would also like an update on the interior dimensions of the slots. I don't to spend 40$ on something I cannot use. Has this problem been resolved?

The AeroPress Coffee Organizer Stand comes with the Mat so you don't need to buy them separately. The AeroPress and other AeroPress accessories are not included. Thanks for reaching out.

It does not have a hanger, but I believe it would definitely hold up to a drill.
