PLEASE NOTE Mac OS X has a number of issues with USB 3.0 hubs. Until these are fully resolved with hub firmware and Mac OS X updates, we recommend against using USB 3.0 hubs with a Mac. 2.4Ghz wireless devices, such as wireless keyboard and mouse adapters, may not work in close proximity to USB 3.0 devices or hubs. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port is recommended. Some USB 3.0 devices require a direct connection to host USB 3.0 ports, including some USB 3.0 hard disks.

No problems so far... well pleased
I've got two hard drives, a scanner, and occasional memory stick plugged in and it has worked fine for the month that I've been using it. It is very compact, but not so small that the device plugs physically inerfere with each other. I used some of those adhesive velcro squares to stick it on top of the PC case where it is very convenient. I don't get those -Your device could be running faster with a USB 3.0 port- messages anymore!Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I haven't really "maxed-out" the load on it yet (might never!) and have only had it a month. If it continues on for awhile, I'd probably go to 5 stars. By the way, used standard delivery, but it came a day or two faster than estimated.

Nice USB Gang / Minor Issues
I use about eight of the ports at any given time. More than that seems to cause a port or two to go dead. Also the USB female receptor on the unit is mounted poorly such that when a male receptor is plugged in there is wiggle and a slight depression. In order to get some ports to power the memory stick must be jiggled. In time I will know its reliability better as most USB hubs die rather soon.Overall, I like the style and convenience it has to offer. It could use a little weight in order to improve stability and also give it the impression of being more solid or quality.

Unitek USB 3.0 6 Port Hub + 2 Charging Ports
I bought this hub because I currently run a laptop as my primary home computer, and the USB ports can get overcrowded. I also had the side project of being able to power my two Raspberry Pi machines at the same time to tie them into my home network and run remote desktops for side projects. So far this hub hasn't disappointed, as I was able to power both Pis (Pii?) simultaneously while plugging in every USB item I had into all the ports, and it recognized everything from my printer, to my USB speakers, to an external hard drive and 3 thumbs drives. And Piis. I did find out that the charging ports will NOT charge my Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablet with the Samsung brand cord that comes with the tablet. It WILL, however, charge the tablet just fine when I use an off brand cord that came with the EasyAcc portable battery charger pack that I bought for traveling. It is not an issue with the hub, but with the Samsung cord, because the tablet also will not charge from the battery pack unless I use the Battery pack cord.So far it is a good hub and I will continue to see what else I can use it for, and revel in the fact that this was the only hub that I found that had TWO 5V-2A charging ports, as every other hub I searched would usually have one of each of the 1A and 2A ports. Not cool for those of us wanting to power our multiple Piises.

DO NOT BUY FOR USE WITH A RASPBERRY PI
Do not buy this if you are planning on using it with a raspberry PI for bitcoin minining. IT WILL NOT WORK. Internally this USB hub is three cascaded hubs, and the Raspberry PI will not recognize any devices plugged in to it. Use the DLink DUB-H7, much more reliable hub for that purpose.

Fantastic USB 3.0 7 Port Hub!
After my first experience I was not sure I wanted to try another USB 3.0 hub again, I'm glad I did! This USB hub installed painlessly on a Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium installation without any problems. The HUB itself is small, light and compact but not so much so that it's hard to work with. I have an Epson Stylus CX4600 All-in-One Printer, Yamaha NX-U10 USB speakers, a Western Digital USB 2.0 Hard Drive and a Toshiba USB 3.0 Hard Drive all attached. THe Toshiba drive runs at USB 3.0 speeds and the other devices don't seem to interfere with it at all. Sleep, shutdown and hibernate all function correctly and I have had no issues.I use a USB extender cable for my 2.4Ghz cordless Logitech Anywhere MX mouse, apparently, USB devices can interfere with the 2.4Ghz devices and it does with my mouse as well. The extender cable allows my to move the receiver closer to the mouse and ends the problem quickly. There is an Intel PDF file about this at this address: [...]The USB cable is long enough and power supply is ample enough to power all my devices. There is a small strip of circle LED lights at the top that let you know when a port is in use, etc.Overall, a great 7 port HUB, with great backwards compatibility!5 Stars!!

Recognizes my USB devices; excellent build quality.
I had previously tried two hubs:(1) "HooToo® HT-UH006 USB 3.0 Hub 7-Port Bus-Powered (5V/4A Power Adapter, Latest VIA VL812-B2 Chipset and 9081 Firmware Upgraded, 3.3 feet USB 3.0 Cable)" and(2) "[New Release] Anker® USB 3.0 7-Port Hub with 36W Power Adapter [VIA VL812-B2 Chipset and updated Firmware 9081]".Neither of the above hubs recognized all of my USB devices. This hub did!The hub has excellent build quality and a heavy duty 4 foot USB cord. It has one less USB 3.0 port than the above mentioned hubs---but, all six work with all my USB devices. The charging port may be handy---I'm charging my Android now. But, the main reason I bought the hub was to accommodate my external DVD burner. This is the first hub that worked.Postscript: After writing this review, Sunvalleytek International Inc. (supplier of the Hootoo HooToo® HT-UH006) sent me a Hootoo Model HT-UH0004 (USB 3.0 7 port HUB). It *does* work with my USB DVD burner and all of my other USB devices.Note: I've found that for devices that have two USB connectors attached to them that it is only necessary to attach one of them to the hub: the thick one (which I assume carries both power and data).
