Good filter. Tested on Dec 26 2019 Annular Solar Eclipse.

Got scratched and melted while observing the SUN
I fitted this Celestron eclipse smart filter on a Clestron Astromaster 130 EQ telescope. I observed the noon sun for around 30 minutes..and i found few melted scratches formed on the filter shown above...i cannot use it again.. fortunately i could observe it while the operation..my eyes got saved fortunately...is any compensation possible? I spent 4500 INR to this item..and the entire life time was 30 minutes..in the product menu, there were no warning about the maximum observation time or observing sun conditions etc..and it was a winter afternoon too...
