Oh, this takes me back to early of winter 2018. A man, in his late 30's, who didn't know how to correctly make eggs over easy. I mean, I did, BUT I just couldn't master the flip. You know - the flip. When you use the spatula to get under the egg and lift it to turn it over on its other side to be cooked. That flip. Anyway, I couldn't quite pick up the egg because it would almost always slip right off the spatula. The whole time I thought that it was me that couldn't simply use a spatula. I would loathe the chefs that my wife would watch on TV simply picking eggs up with their spatulas as if they commanded them to. How jealous was I. I would get so frustrated that I would scream in distress and give up and make scrambled eggs.Then, one day, I opened one of my kitchen drawers and found a dusted old spatula. For some reason after I found it, it felt that if it was calling me to make eggs over easy. So, that's what I did. I wasn't even hungry. I started cooking the egg and when it came to its time to flip. I used the older spatula and flipped the egg with such precision that the yoke didn't break this time. I was elated and knew that this spatula was the one that will bring me joy while cooking eggs over-easy.But one day, my wife, my lovely wife, after years of me using that same spatula, decided that my egg companion was to be retired. She didn't hesitate to toss my "sword in the stone" into its coffin. The garbage can. By the time I even found out that my spatula was gone it was already on its way to the dump. I was upset, and cried for seconds, maybe even a minute.Months later... I open amazon app to look for items I needed to buy for my daughter's birthday. In the featured, or advertised products being shown in the home page of Amazon I noticed that a spatula was being displayed on it scroll thing. Curiously, I decided to take a look at it. The picture showing the attractive color, the serrated edge, and its sturdy look made me feel that this spatula was made for me.When it arrived a couple of days later, I didn't hesitate to use it. I found that immediately my hand conformed to its body as if it was custom made for me. When it was time to flip the egg, I used minimal effort to get it underneath the egg. Thats because the head of the spatula is thin, and the edges are sharp to easily get under the egg. After I was done making my egg over-easy. I was convinced that this spatula is THEE spatula that would get me back to my championed egg flipping days.I have been using this spatula for about four months now, every week. So far, it's durability is great. It still looks brand new and still simply slices underneath the egg.To me, this spatula, is the best spatula I've ever used. I also feel that if you, dear reader, decide buying this spatula you will not be disappointed. You'll see that after holding the spatula, that you might think the same too.

Update: I've had this for about two years now and I'm really happy with the quality of the spatual. Just had one of my old spatulas crack, so buying another one of these as a replacement. I haven't had any issues with melting as other reviews suggested.Good strength and a nice edge to it. Better than my old xo spatulas.Not sure why there are so many are complaints about melting. Home economics 101 is don’t leave plastic utensils on or in heated pans.I haven’t had any melting issues cooking eggs or stirring while cooking. I’ll update if anything changes.

I have had this spatula for at least 7 years now, it’s my go-to spatula. I ordered two more so I could throw out all my others and only have this type. It’s super sturdy, but thin enough to use with delicate items like cookies. The scalloped edge comes in handy for cutting. Overall, the best spatula I’ve owned!

Its a good spatula

This spatula has a pleasant weight and feel to it. You can immediately feel the quality construction. It is quite sharp all around - both the turning edge and serrated edge - so be careful if you have small children in the kitchen. But for being able to slip under anything and check meat it’s great due to those shark edges. As far as a quality cooking utensil I am very pleased. I rested it against the edge of a hot cooking pan and it did not melt or deform, it appears to be quite heat resistant. Love the Calphalon brand!

Bought 2 of these years ago. When they finally got a little nasty, I replaced them with the Oxo (which has become my go to brand) version. Well here we are replacing them with these guys. Super sturdy, heat resistant, and stylish. Would give them more stars if I could.

We used to have this spatula and left it behind when we moved. We bought a new spatula somewhere else, but it just wasn’t the same. We ended up ordering another one of these spatulas because we missed it so much! It holds up well for daily use (we had the last one in a house with three roommates for at least five years and it was being used constantly) and the serrated edge is so convenient.

We own 5 of these spatulas because they are the best! I make eggs every morning for breakfast and the thin edge makes flipping easy. It’s wide enough to flip even larger foods without them falling apart. There is a serrated edge that is great for food that can stick to the pan. Since they are a plastic type material they are great for non stick pans. After use they clean easily in the dishwasher because food just kind of falls off them.
