Converted a DVI connection on my graphics card to the SVGA connection my computer monitor needed. Good enough for me!Also, please take note, there's a certain issue some people are having with other adapters. Evidently there's a similar DVI to SVGA adapter out there, but for some reason it won't work for computers. It has to do with a digital or analog signal that is carried by pins that exist to the top and bottom of the spade that's in the DVI connection. I don't know specifics - but if you're shopping around for an adapter for computer use, make sure to read the reviews of the adapter to make sure that it'll do what you need it to do.

This is a DVI adapter that works to connect a graphics card with a DVI-out to a monitor with a VGA-in. I ordered two of them because the pins looked like one I already had that worked. I just got them in the mail and could hardly wait to test them out on my new graphics card (I have older monitors with only VGA-in). Sure enough, these work!The other kind of adapter (with all 24-ish pins) does not work from DVI to VGA (but maybe the other way around?). This adapter has 17 pins and does work. I am tickled.

I bought a new pc which has connections only for DVI monitors. I wanted to use a KVM switch so I could use my old computer and the new one with only one keyboard, mouse, and monitor shared. Found a replacement Hard Drive for my mom and was surprised to find the connectors for her hardware didn't match the ports in the back of the drive. This was a quick fix and definitely less costly than replacing more hardware!

Fast delivery & proper packaging. Functional and working DVI Male to SVGA female. I was trying to convert one signal up then down (DVI/SVGA/DVI) which didn't work, but used alone the product works fine. Just couldn't use my SVGA switchbox the way that I wanted.

I recently upgraded my desktop computer but planned to continue using the same monitor. Much to my surprise my new PC only had DVI and HDMI output and my little monitor had the standard ( I guess old is a better word now) connector. I found this adapter and ordered it hoping it would solve my problem. IT DID. I was able to hook up my old monitor using this adapter...saved my from having to have to buy a new monitor!

Why on earth would you pay Apple or any other retailer $19 or more for the same plug? I know I did and became fed up with shelling out my cash when this does the exact same thing. Thank goodness I found this on Amazon. Amazing product and thank you.
