SkagenMelbye Watch for Men, Quartz movement with Stainless steel or Leather Strap

It had been around six years since I purchased my first Skagen watch and it was starting to look a little tired from the scratches of every day use. I bought this as it's replacement for every day use, it's comfortable and a good size.My last Skagen was lighter but also always looked a little clumsy, despite having small hands and wrists, this larger case and thicker strap is excellent.It gets plenty of comments from Europe whenever I wear it, simple, elegant and with a touch of style which make it perfect for every occasion.Setting the time, day and date is simple and explained in the instructions. The days are also displayed in Spanish and can be configured when setting.I'm looking forward to having another few years service from a watch that looks the part next to the big brands but is keenly priced to the point you can wear it every day.

Lovely watch, bit late to review it here, I'm about 6 years behind when I got the item.The only issue is that the clasp wears out a little after some time, you would probably need to get this part replaced every few years. I'm still using the original clasp, but it does come loose easy sometimes now when I brush up against something the wrong way. Will definitely replace the snapping clasp at some point.The lume is virtually non existent too, but most watches at this price point don't really have great lume. Not a deal breaker I wouldn't say.It's a super stylish watch and perfect for men with smaller wrists like myself. This would be ideal for someone with a 6" or smaller wrist, as it's very thin and lightweight.

It's a really stylish watch, slim and fits well. The strap is a tad fiddly to put on and it can be hard to read sometimes as the hands are quite thin, especially in dark lighting as there is now backlight or glow function. I still love it though.

One week in and I am very happy with the watch - looks smart but not flashy and the strap is very comfortable. Quite a few reviewers have reported issues with the clasp but provided you follow the supplied instructions it seems to work well and is very secure. There are a couple of unexpected “quirks”. First one I noticed is that when I pulled the crown out to set it to the correct day of the week, I accidentally overshot the day I was looking for and the day name started to appear in French - i.e. “MAR” instead of “TUE”. I simply wound backwards to return to the English day name. There is nothing in the instructions about this so it was completely unexpected. Secondly, as you’ll see from the photo with this review the “SUN” is marked in red rather than black. This is not a problem for me......just completely unexpected.

I am pleased with this watch. It looks good and is accurate. The instructions could be clearer and the knob for adjusting the time is quite stiff to move. However, once you have figured it out, there are no problems. Would recommend.

It looked very smart, nice colour, not too heavy. Value for money .Unfortunately, the long finger kept slipping down and was returned.

The watch looks good qualityI must say, I’m surprised that Skagen is selling this watch at £39.99But then again, if the date calendar is in French and English, it’s quite understandable.

I like the style, colour, the slimness of the watch body and how comfortable it is to wear on the wrist. This is a replacement Skagen watch, first one from Amazon went faulty and was only working intermittently. Which is unusual for Skagen, as I have had other Skagen watch's with no problems at all, but Amazon return and replacement service was quick and efficient and I got this replacement in 3 days of contacting Amazon. Good service.
