Ordered and paid for 4...only received 3
Ordered 4 of these, one for each bike in the family. The 3 that I received are OK, but I don't like the non-existant one at all...it doesn't make any sound! Problem is I'm not sure where to leave that feedback and make the ask for the 4th bell I've already paid for.UPDATE: Was able to get a refund for the item not received. The 3 have now been installed and work just fine.

Fragile, works for a little while
If you ride thru the city and expect to be heard, this might help while it lasts. The metallic thingy is supported by two springs in a very delicate array, so riding through the streets, rain and bumps do not go well with this product. It's super easy to install, though.Metallic thingy fell off in one of my commutes back home. Got me a refillable air horn loud enough to make cabs stop. Don't waste your time with this one.

Kids love it.
Bought two for a 4 and 6 year old. They like it quite a bit. It's a single strike to the metal piece resulting in a 'ding' sound. I wasn't sure what to expect initially. If you put it right next to the bar grips it won't 'ding' well. Need to leave just a bit of space. Hope this helps.

easy to install (with a Philips-head screwdriver)
It is stylish, very compact and light, well-made, easy to install (with a Philips-head screwdriver), the only problem is that it is not very loud, and it's not easy to do produce more than one ding rapidly in succession. For example, much less noticeable than the ring-ding style bell which came with my Jamis bicycle, and much less loud than the incredibell single-ding bell.

I like it. It has an non-irritating
I like it. It has an non-irritating, one-chime ring. Before I put it on my bike, I thought it was plenty loud enough to be heard by someone nearby on the trail. When I tightened it down enough that it would stay put though, the bell was not as loud or clear. Still works pretty well. I also like that it doesn't take up a lot of space on my handlebar. I have limited space due to other "attachments" such as a bag, a phone carrier, and hopefully soon a headlight.

Not happy with this bell
Been using this on one of my bikes for a couple of years now. Although it has a distinctive ring it really isn't that loud.Over time the spring loaded striker seems to be failing and I have to flick it a few times to get an adequate ring. I have Crane E-ne Bicycle Bell bell that is much louder and seemingly better built. Just this week the metal ringer fell off the bike so maybe it is time to dump it.

Not What the Description Leads You to Believe
There is no way this would fit on anyone with a modern road bike or mountain bikes handlebars. It fits on my 1970's 10-speed handlebars, but that is about it. Realy need to change the description to be more accurate.

this was a great chime not too loud and scary when i had ...
really dissapointed. this was a great chime not too loud and scary when i had to warn folks of my approach.... BUT this morning I looked down and the entire blue ring had just fallen off! Just didn't abuse it or give it any reason to fall apart - but its gone and after only a couple weeks! Don't waste your money.
