Nice heavy metal click clacks. When I want to make a roll with authority, these are the dice I reach for.

They're perfect, they don't roll everywhere and literally the first roll I did with them I got a nat 20. They fit my Aasimar character perfectly and i love them so SO much. All of my dnd group are uber jealous :)as for the "What happened in-game the first nat 20 (or nat 1) you rolled?" This isn't *my* nat 1 but rather one I witnessed. We had a goblin druid character named Smack that was a little....dumb, for lack of a better word. He had shapeshifted into a bird as we (me (aasimar) and Beatrice (aarakocra)) were dealing with some guards and he thought it was a good idea to land on one of the guards for fall damage, even knowing knowing it'd hurt him. Well... in the most crucial moment he rolled a nat 1 for his dex saving throw, and it's 1d6 bludgeoning damage for every 10 feet.... and he was around 60 feet in the air. He took out the guard but he also knocked himself out and alerted every other guard. The whole table was laughing their butts off. LOL.Thanks for the wonderful dice!

So, based on the price I was little hesitant at first to buy these. I prefer 'heavier' dice as I tend to have a heavy hand to begin with. I decided to bite the bullet and get these for my D&D sessions - both online and IRL - and I was VERY impressed with them.TLDR: These dice are easy to read on all rolls, the range of randomness was perfect (seemed more balanced than the plastic dice variant to be honest). But nothing will compare to the sound of these dice hitting your roll tray, like a battleaxe cleaving into your enemy. 10/10 I would, and will, be ordering more of these to use in my sessions!The first roll I did was a perception check for roaming Hobgoblins in a dungeon. This was online, so I didn't expect them to hear it through the mic. It hits the leather roll tray... and everyone was joking and talking, until that moment. "What. The. F*** was that!?" - "Nothing, continue." ... My players, now trying to understand what the hell the thunderous background clap was, knowing full well I bought new metal dice... were stuck in shock. No one wanted to move a muscle, all characters attempted to 'ready' actions, roll perception, investigate for traps. This continued every time I rolled behind the scenes - be it real rolls, or for the "Guys, get moving" when they got side-tracked. I attempted to go back to plastic, and simply can't do it. The weight, and potentially balance, does not feel the same or as good as these dice from Blacksmith.

~~ Edit Begin ~~I was able to get these dice replaced through amazon. However the replacement sets had the same defects. That's when I noticed the seller had commented on my review, you can see that yourself below. We struggled to communicate without giving emails and my comment with the order number was also deleted.Needless to say, I finally got into contact with the seller by finding their facebook page. I spoke to them through facebook messenger and worked out that I would try for a third replacement.Unfortunately, the third replacement of two sets *ALSO* had these defects, much to my disappointment. I captured those pictures and added them here as well.I bumped this review up to a 3 star, even though the two replacement orders were still affected by the faults, because the interaction with the seller was seamless (once I got an open contact channel)They were kind and very apologetic about the situation, and promised they would look into it for future runs. After the third set I sent it back for a full refund and will be looking elsewhere for these dice, simply because I am looking for this color specifically.I will be returning sometime in the future to see if these issues have been resolved, as I do like to have extra d6s ;)Also because the seller was very kind and willing to work with me to try and make it right. That's a rare find. They've certainly earned my trust, regardless of the issues they have with their products.~~ Edit End ~~I love these dice, many of my friends have this type of metal dice, however, it seems mine came from a batch that wasn't painted well at all. See pictures.I ordered two sets with extra d6. So total # of dice was 6 d6 4 d10 and 2 of everything else. Out of all of the dice, 6 of 6 d6, 3 of 4 d10, 1 d12, 1 d8, and 1 d20 all had black dots and scuffs under the acrylic paint finisher... see pictures... All the d6 had these dots on multiple sides of the dice. I'm very dissapointed for the price I paid for these dice.I don't mind so much that the color is darker than I expected, I actually prefer the darker blue, but these black scuffs and the frayed edges of the d6 do not scream $20 material. Will not be buying these again.

Sometimes you want new dice and you settle for grabbing a random handful out of the bin at the comic and games store. Sometimes you want new dice that will stand up to a dracolich and still roll after a cosmic sundering. These are those dice.Packaging: Arrived in a matte black metal tin with foam cutouts for each individual die, as well as a velvet travel pouch included. Nice touch for those who don't want their dice to get dinged in transit.The Dice: Simply, they're beautiful. Solid, weighty, precisely cut, clear numbers. The Darkstar set features beautifully polished accents.The Roll: You'll definitely want a tray or a protective mat to throw these - they roll quite a lot further and harder than typical plastic dice, and you might end up scoring a critical hit on your furniture instead of that menacing illithid. Without throwing them a few hundred times and actually doing a frequency analysis, I can't say for certain that they're truly random dice, but I saw no worrisome throw patterns.The Dicemakers: Super responsive to communication and want to know that you're happy with your purchase.These dice are a natural 20 for me. Would definitely purchase again - in fact, I'll probably get my DMs a set each for the holidays.

Su caja y bolsa son extremadamente prácticos y son una super comodos de usar por su peso. Aunque no son tan grandes, son extremadamente claros los numeros y bonito el diseño.
