My dryer stopped heating and was not dryer the clothes, so I googled what the issue might be. After watching a youtube video, I figured it might be the heating element. I followed the guys instructions and took the dryer apart and tested the heating element with a volt meter and as suspected it wasnt conducting any electricity. I uninstalled it and the spring was broken. The dryer was over 10 years old already so it was bound to happen at one point or another. I ordered the replacement from amazon and it came the next day. Looked exactly like the original except for being shinier and newer. lol. It was easy to reinstall and fit in perfectly.Now the dryer works again. Easy fix and didnt have to call the expensive repairman.

I've purchased these dryer heating elements before, - it's been about 9 years since the last set. I have a Samsung dryer. It functions well, but the element they use is cheap and doesn't last. Purchased through Amazon for $17.34 saves me a $275 appliance repairman bill. The hardest part is just getting the dryer "box" open, once that is done - the element simply plugs in easy peasy.

I’ve had this installed for about a month now, so I feel like it has proven it’s longevity so far! Easy to install if you know where the attachments go. We took a video and a photo of the old one, so we could use that for reference. Very happy with this purchase and it saved us hundreds of dollars to get repaired by a tech. It’s exactly as pictured and we installed it on our 10yr old Samsung dryer, as the old one burnt out & It actually seems to be better quality than the original! Hope this helps!

I’ve replaced 3 or so elements in my Samsung. I think these are a little hit or miss, but this last one has lasted 14 months (longest so far) and we go through a ton of laundry. Way better than calling someone out and paying $300.

Compatible with my Samsung dryer

For those of you who own a Samsung front load dryer you are probably very familiar with replacing this coils as it fails about once a year (+/- a few months depending on the length of your dryer vent). You have either figured out how to replace the coil or you pay repair dude $300 annual fee. If your reading this review my guess is you are a homeowner looking for a replacement part and know the replacement process so read on. FYI there are many on line videos explaining the replacement process. If you can change a tire you can probably tackle this.My Samsung Dryer is 12 years old and I believe I have replaced my coil 7 times now. The first couple times it failed I paid repair dude the annual Samsung Tax to keep it in service.Anyway - I replaced the coil 3 months ago and just now writing this review. I intentionally waited to see if the unit would last a few months before commenting. So far so good. We do about 4 loads a week in our dryer. If the unit fails prior to 14 months I will come back and add additional comments. Again for my dryers performance this would be typical.For the record, I have seen no difference in performance/longevity between the $130 OEM coils and the lower priced sub $40 coils. This is my first time to use this particular brand, hence the review.I like the bonus of getting two in every order. This supplier knows Samsung and allows you to keep a spare on hand.Good luck

My dryer has been working like a champ for 11 years until a couple days ago when the dryer would spin and act like it’s working but the clothes wouldn’t dry. I did some internet sleuthing to figure out why this could be and I narrowed it down to the fuses or the heat element. I whipped out my multimeter and I was able to narrow it down even further to the heat element. After replacing it’s been working like new. I specifically ordered this one because it came with two so if it should go out again I’d be able to replace it on the spot.
