I just recently bought the Jarlink Electric Sharpener on Amazon and it is the first one that I think does a good job on charcoal pencils. It will sharpen them not quite so sharp so they don't break. But I was not really happy with this set of pencils. They aren't anywhere close to as dark as the other brands I have.
