Wear these and YOU WILL NOT SLIP
These ice grips are a godsend. My first winter in Maine (2013), I fell on my husband's wheelchair ramp six times. I didn't even know these things existed until a friend told me about them. I used them for the first time three days ago and managed to clear one inch thick ice from a 40-foot ramp without even slipping! They're easy to put on and they stay in place. One thing: Be sure to put them on near the door if you have hardwood, marble, ceramic tile, or other non-carpet type flooring. They will grip ice like nobody's business, but if you try walking on a hardwood floor with them (as I stupidly did without thinking), you'll slip. But don't let that deter you. Like I said, I just put them on right beside the door before going out, and take them off right inside the door upon coming in. Thanks to these ice grips, I can get through winter without fear of breaking my fool neck.

Perfect Traction for Casual Walking on Ice and for Fat Biking
I live in New Hampshire where ice is very common all winter. I keep traction devices in my car at all times and I have tried a number of different ones. In the past, I have used Microspikes for everything, because they worked better than anything else I have ever tried. However, they are heavier, scratch things if carried around inside your bag/purse and are overkill unless you are hiking up steep inclines, etc. (not to mention a lot more expensive and require 2 hands to put on). These Ice Grip traction devices FIT THE BILL for casual/everyday walking on ice. Not only are they fantastic for everyday ice walking, they are perfect for wearing while riding my Fat Bike. The traction devices do not interfere with my pedals (Microspikes do interfere with pedals) and when I have to put a foot down while biking, I have the traction I need to prevent slipping. For the price, these are fantastic. The studs do fall off (I lost 4 on my first ride), but the kit comes with extras. For this price, there is nothing better. Another thing to mention is they are very easy to put on and pull off your shoes and they STAY ON.

Larger than expected
Inexpensive .. Look like they will work but I ordered a medium for a women's size seven boot... Medium will not attach to my boot.. Bout 2 inches too long.. Can't really return them due shipping cost. So carefully determine sizing if you can..

awesome to prevent winter falls!
These are a great option if you only need grips on your shoes on occasion. this is exactly what we need. We live on a hill in Colorado - the land of intermittent snow. When it does snow, our driveway can become quite slick, and it is handy to be able to slip something like this on and just get to work.Pros:1) you won't need to purchase a separate pair of boots or shoes just for those days when it really is slick. I love this as a great money saving option for us as there is no justification to buy boots with a studded bottom. These give us the security of being able to stand on our driveway to shovel and not slip!2) easy to put on. These slid right on my lightweight boots with no issue.3) studs are flat and not spiked. I like this feature as they provide grip, but won't damage your driveway. These deliver as promise to prevent falls without costing you a fortune when you need to repave your driveway.Cons:1) the only con for me is simple. I do not see how these would easily pull over heavy winter boots. that is a definite bummer as there are places where you would need heavy boots. There is an easy possible solution - you can buy a size larger than what you need. Given how these sit on the sole of your boot you should be able to easily order a size up and not have these hang off the end of your shoe. I would do that if you live in a cold area and need big, heavy boots. Do be aware of this concern prior to ordering, but otherwise these are awesome, and we love them!

Works in Minnesota.
Update: I’ve used these all winter in St. Paul, MN. They are excellent. Only one peg fell out all winter, but the provided extras, so all is well. If ever I need to, I will buy again, and highly recommend.I’ve had these for a couple weeks now. They are much easier to put on and take off than yaktraks. So far no pegs have fallen off. I live in the city, so there’s a lot of salted, bare sidewalks. You never know when you’re going to hit an ice patch. I’ll update after the deep freeze hits un this weekend.

At 54 falling is not something I enjoy, who does
Living in an area that gets a lot of freezing rain/snow mix these are a limb saver. I walk my dog in the woods or a park and to get there I walk on asphalt that may have spots of black ice. At 54 falling is not something I enjoy, who does, but these make it possible to walk my dog and hike in the woods without injury. They are easy to get on and off and work well with a variety of shoes and boots. I keep a pair in my car and another at home. Love that there are extra spikes but I haven’t lost any yet and I’ve used them daily for 2 weeks.

slip and slideeee :)
These are a good idea if you don't want grandpa to slip and slide in the winter sleet and ice. I can't attest to their comfy level and how well they hold up but I will in a couple of months once the witch gets here with her snow! :-) These are easy to put on as they slide right on and they give you a spare pair of studs since it's ominous they're gonna fall off.... So not a good sign there! I ordered a size large for my 10 size shoes. A good concept as I hope they hold up well. Do not drive with these and are not to be used in mud as the snow and ice are the best friends for this. That's it for now. bde bde folks!

flat soles only- no arched shoes
While it looks like the picture this product has a huge defective area that take away from a 4 star- the heel placement or lack of one. DO NOT buy this one if you are going to put it on a shoe with a separate heel. I wear a size 10, I bought a size large and the heel part on these rest in the arch space of my hiking shoes. That gives no traction when walking on the heel part of the shoe. I moved it to a solid soled boot and it does better, only in that it does connect for a longer foot surface but not over the heel. Also, they are not really slip resistant on smooth ice- travel on rough surfaces since these are not ice cleats with a point, just a nubbin.Otherwise these are a good buy- but know what you are going to use them with before you put them in your cart. I got real ice pinions and they do great on smooth ice.
