Great system and super easy to use
i’ve used this system before on past projects but always had to rent them until i decided to become an owner myself. the plug and play system is great for gorilla style filming or just as a one man band. i paired mine up with a Zoom h6 recorder to give me full control and they have both been a great addition. although it provides excellent sound, i’m thinking of replacing the lav as i get some static in the most basic of motion but the connectivity will give you so much range and not limit you from being too far from your subject. i see myself certainly purchasing another for more complex projects.

I use these every day
I'm a videographer so with my clients, sound is extremely important. This is definitely the best microphone system I've ever owned. I record livestreams and web content every day and the audio is so crisp and clean. I've used these with clients in Manhattan as well with clients in rural areas and I've never lost a signal. It is such an easy system to use I'd definitely recommend trying out this system if you need something easy and reliable.

2 Steps Forward and One Back
After using the G2 and G3 systems for years, I was lured after many damaged antennas and just problems with random interference. The AVX on paper seems to solve all of that from a hardware perspective it does, or so you think. All my audio gear is Sennhesier, Mics, Headphones etc. for years. I am definitely a fan but the AVX did not work well for me. Cons: 1. The blue antenna cap on the receiver is loose and rattles, I had to use tape to hold it properly. 2. Delay. There is a 18-19ms delay in audio compared to the G2 or G3 which is pretty much realtime. So when I used the AVX in combo with G2 or G3 shoots all audio from AVX was delayed and caused echo which means I have to correct audio in post every shoot. That is a deal breaker for me. It almost forces you to switch all wireless to AVX and at the price point, that is a big ask or constantly sync audio in editing. (Returned for this reason) 3. Receiver battery life is bad, I barely got 2-3 hours out of it, and when it gets hot outside or used in heat it was worse. Its only a 430 mAh battery and of course spares are an absurd $50 a piece. Body pack battery is good. (They need an extended battery and it would fit easily) 4. Auto gain, it mostly works, but it's not optimal in louder conditions. I did a shoot in open wheel sports car, coming to a stop you can hear voice audio climb artificially and when car moves you can hear gain drop. In a quiet atmosphere with only talking its not noticeable. But gain movement is present in louder settings. 5. Where is the manual sensitivity setting? Come on. 6. Swivel design of receiver a potential point of failure and also moves a bit too easy which can cause rattling connection issues. 7. The Mic clip for ME2 is junk, plastic snapped first use, what was wrong with metal spring clips? Pros: 1. Build quality, solid. Much better body packs than G2/G3 due to antenna design. 2. Small receiver is a blessing and curse, it fits on your sound recorders, cameras etc without taking up space or having wires if you use XLR. 3. Replaceable Lithium Ion Body pack and Lithium Poly Receiver pack. 4. Zero audio drops, clear connection 5. Stupid simple setup and sync 6. Sennhesier build quality (mostly) Bottom Line: If you are only using system in controlled, quiet, interview setting its going to work great. Battery life, delay and quirks with gain are deal breakers.

AWESOME MICS!
i am a sennheiser user since the 80's & dropped my gen 1 EW mics after MANY years of service. i was hesitant to make the move to digital - but - WOW! these guys are CLEAN! i haven't tested them for distance because i rarely go very far. they charge & pair quickly. the ability to run the receiver from an external battery while recording is HUGE. 18ms delay doesn't bother me at all, if you are running an analogue mic along side - it might. but i rarely do.

Superior to Rode System
I'm sure it sounds great, but this review is just about the form factor and quality of the build compared to the Rode system. I have a c100 mkii and LOVE that this does not take a shoe mount and plugs right in the XLR. Also super light weight and compact. It's worth the extra money just for the quality of the build and form factor. LOVE IT.

Quality of the mic is great, as expected from these guys
Quality of the mic is great, as expected from these guys. I was transitioning from a single Sennheiser mic setup, to two of these that I can plug into a zoom when I need to mic more than one person. Biggest downside, which I didn't consider before purchse, was that this mic is not powered by AA's (as opposed to my old one). While in some ways this is great (less waste), for long shoots I don't like that I can't just keep some extra AA's in my bag just in case. Have to have time to recharge, or purchase extra battery packs which are much more expensive than AA's.

Superb build quality!
Even though I missed the opportunity to use this item for the event I so much prepared for due to missing package at first delivery, Amazon or Sennheiser was kind enough to replace. My first impression is the premium build quality. Sound output is great and above all a very stylish piece of equipment.

This product is probably one of the best on the market at this price. If you compare it to the G3, I think it's worth the extra. You won't have to play with any of the settings because it will do it for you. So basically, you turn it on, wait few seconds then boom you are ready to record. The only thing that I think could be be better is the lav microphone. If you change it for a better quality microphone you will see the difference but in the end it still a good quality product. The pouch included in the package could possibly be a little better than this. It looks like they took the pouch that was designed for the handheld microphone which is not the best but in the end, this is a minor issue. This product is covered by a warranty as long as you buy it from a Canadian retailer. I bought mine from Amazon in Canada directly to ensure I have a valid warranty but I could've bought it from Camera Canada (Ontario) but it was just more expensive than Amazon. I will definitely buy more of these in the future!

Works really well. Wasn't overwhelming or underwhelming. Very sturdy build and the sound quality is good.

I bought this because I needed a new wireless lav and sennheiser makes products that LAST. However, I am very disappointed in the mic clip that came with it (only one). The day the package arrived I went to set it up and the plastic that holds the mic cracked in half SO EASILY. This should not have happened. Since then I have ordered two packs of lapel clip replacements (not sennheiser brand as I couldn't find any) and NEITHER fit with this mic. Extremely frustrating and feels like this is a problem I shouldn't have to pay for and solve.
