Happy but not what it says it is.
Got this because we have a yearly issue with both mulberry and maple trees growing everywhere in our yard. But also initially because last winter our house was half destroyed by a tree strike that crushed the upper living area and we were out of the house for about 9 months till it was repaired so had tons of clean up to do.So far I'm pretty impressed with this little machine. It's compact, easy to assemble and very powerful. In fact it's (for me) almost too compact. As I'm slightly more than 6 feet tall It's a little low to easily move it around the yard. It isn't terribly difficult but will be better for someone even just a little shorter than I.Assembly took about 45 minutes solo. They may have changed some of the items with the model I have because I read repeatedly that you needed metric wrenches and sockets and yet most of what I needed were half inch.As for functionality, it went through a very large amount of brush up to 2 inches diameter and barely slowed down. Mulches most everything up very finely, almost to sawdust and reduced that large pile of brush to two MUCH smaller piles of mulch in about 4 hours. The ejection chute did clog twice on me when I got into more green wood, once badly enough to cause me to have to shut off the engine rather quickly so as to not burn it up. The clogs were pretty quickly cleared and it fired right up and went back to work.Very easy to start. Runs efficiently, have ran it for hours and still on the first tank of gas. If you're looking for something to handle a lot of brush fast this little powerhouse is a great buy from what I've seen so far.The one downside to it, I've found, is that I wanted it for my yearly leaf invasion and this does not do what the description says. It's a chipper not a chipper shredder.WON'T be helpful for getting the leaves out of the yard.Overall a great machine just wish it did all they said it would.Addendum: ok one other little gripe about the chipper. After the 3rd large load of brush I had to sharpen the blades. Not sure how they expect you to take the blades off to sharpen or replace through the tiny little access door you're supposed to since it is slightly larger than the blades but has no access to nuts on the back. If you try and remove the blades just with the hex screws you'll likely strip them as they are in fairly tight but either way you would have no way I could find to reassemble them. The one saving grace is that though you have to partially disassemble the machine it isn't terribly difficult to do so and put it back together. Hopefully they will address this issue with future models. Still happy with the machine but want everyone to have eyes open as to what they're getting.

Excellent for softwoods, may not the best choice for oaks & needs sharp blades to work well
This review is after running through 3 tanks of gas and about 8 hours of operation. I like this much better than the harbor freight version which I planned to buy but was not available locally. As others have stated, unit is well packaged, easy to put together and mine also started on the very first pull. It does an amazing job with 2-inch diameter or less softwood branches, pulling the branch through quickly and producing excellent mulch. Better than neighbor’s HF chipper overall and this one is much easier to feed and collect mulch. I very much appreciate the large branch chute as you can pitch smaller branches in the hopper from a few feet away. The elevated discharge chute makes collecting the mulch super easy and convenient as a 30-gallon trash can will fit under. Logs bigger than 2-inch will bog it down and unless the piece is very short, will stall the motor. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is from trying to chip oak. This was a pain as it did not pull the oak branches in as it did with softwood trees and you had to push each piece through. I thought something was wrong with it and or a problem with dull or broken blades, but that was not the case. I do not know if other chippers have problems with oaks but suspect they may as well. If you want to chip oaks this is not the chipper for you. Otherwise this is an excellent value assuming it lasts.1/2/2023UPDATE: This machine needs very sharp blades with excellent cutting edge to work well. A week or so after posting the comments above I tried to use the chipper again on softwood brush and found that it no longer pulled branches through. Long story short I replaced the blades and it worked like new and even pulled the oak branches through so my oak experience may have been more associated with dull blades than with oak, although I suspect the oak quickly dulled the blades. Another reviewer mentioned this as well as the time consuming process of dissembling the machine to install new blades. The best and by far the easiest way to remove the blades is to disassemble the chipper end of the machine and remove Chipper/flywheel. All 13mm bolts IIRC. After loosening the flywheel bolt several turns give a few light taps on flywheel bolt head while holding the flywheel and gently pulling forward. The flywheel will come off easily from tapered/keyed shaft. You can have easy access to the blades.
