A great clean, third-party verified, whey protein product.
This stuff is great! High quality, dissolves easily, tastes good (very neutrally flavored), and most importantly: it's third party tested and unlike many of its competitors you can actually clearly check the relevant certifications. This is a clean whey product, and that's worth the premium over its competitors, IMO. Bonus: it's just two ingredients -- whey isolate, and some non-GMO sunflower lecithin -- that's it. It's a great base for adding to all sorts of recipes, or even having on its own, and if you're looking for a certifiably clean whey protein, I recommend it.

AGN Roots Delivers Quality!
I couldn't be happier with AGN Roots Unflavored Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate! From the moment I opened the bag, I could tell this was top tier quality, no fillers, no additives, just pure, clean protein. It mixes smoothly in water, almond milk, or even coffee, and because it's unflavored, it blends perfectly into smoothies, oats, or baked goods. What really sets this whey apart is its grass fed sourcing; you can taste and feel the difference compared to lower-quality proteins. No weird aftertaste, no bloating, just pure, high quality nutrition! If you're looking for the best of the best, AGN Roots is the way to go!

Honest, detailed review
I've searched for a quality protein source for months, trying many protein powders, and finally found this product. After taking Functional Nutrition courses as a physical therapist, I learned about protein's importance, especially as we age. Many people consume too little protein, including me. The RDA for protein is 0.8g per Kg of body weight. My RD recommended up to 1g per pound of ideal body weight (common for athletes and seniors). That's too much protein for me to eat in a day, thus the need for a quality protein supplement. For me, there are important considerations when choosing a protein supplement, all of which AGN has met. First, the protein is pasture-fed cows certified, never fed antibiotics or hormones. Next, it is third-party tested. If you are a collegiate or pro athlete, you understand the importance of third-party testing. It's tested by Informed Sport, a reputable company known in the sports and dietitian fields, and Informed Protein, another reputable third-party testing company. Each lot is tested for over 250 banned substances, over 400 pesticides, heavy metals, nutrition facts and claim integrity, gluten, and glyphosate. It's also truly grass-fed approved and animal welfare-approved certified.Additionally, it contains no other ingredients except whey protein isolate and non-GMO lecithin (a sunflower-derived emulsifier). I had almost given up finding a protein powder without sugar or sugar substitutes. I also prefer the Isolate form of protein, which refers to a higher quality of purity, indicating additional processing steps to isolate the protein from other components found in milk, such as fat, lactose, and minerals. Isolate whey protein is more concentrated, containing more protein by weight. I found most protein powders contain 20g of protein per 2 scoops, but IGN Roots contains 25g per 2 scoops. That's because it's higher in protein and lower in lactose, making it more digestible. I had noticed a significant increase in gas and bloating with non-isolate whey protein powders, but I have not experienced these symptoms with this product.Further, it contains all 9 essential amino acids, making this a complete protein powder. Some (not all) plant-based protein powders do not carry the full profile of essential amino acids. This is why I chose grass-fed whey protein isolate. I do use a complete plant-based protein powder containing the full spectrum of essential amino acids, but AGN Roots is my top choice. The company owners are from Houston, TX (where I also reside), but the cows are raised in Ireland. I had noticed a review stating we should not trust this product since the owners are not from Ireland. What I trust most are the third-party stamps on my bag of AGN Roots protein powder. I've learned this is crucial because the supplement industry is not regulated by the FDA, ergo, unless any supplement is third-party tested, I cannot be certain of what it contains.Overall, I'm very pleased with this protein powder. I drink 2 scoops in the morning in water, and it's smooth, creamy, and tastes slightly sweet. I also use it in smoothies for lunch after my workout. I highly recommend this protein powder. It meets all my criteria for a safe, reliable, great-tasting protein powder.

Best unflavored whey!
I love that is is grass fed, verified and unflavored! Has a great plain milk taste and easy to blend with your favorites. I like it more than any flavored whey. For me it is worth the price knowing you are getting a quality, European approved and certified product. Blends well!

The cleanest, highest-quality whey I’ve found!
This is hands down the best whey protein I’ve ever tried. I love that it’s grass-fed, unflavored, and unsweetened — just pure, high-quality protein with nothing unnecessary added. It’s certified “Entire Life on Pasture” by A Greener World, ASPCA registered, and Informed Sport tested, so I know I’m getting a truly ethical, clean product. The fact that it’s cholesterol-free is a huge bonus. It blends easily into shakes, smoothies, or recipes without altering the taste, making it perfect for both sweet and savory uses. I feel great knowing I’m fueling my body with something so pure and responsibly produced. If you’re serious about clean nutrition, this is the whey to get.

Horrible taste and rancid odor
I am a physician in my 60’s and I had been buying other brands of 100% pure whey protein which were made here in USA and they were organic. I decided to switch to an organic GRASS FED whey protein and I came across this brand on Amazon. I ordered it yesterday and it was delivered today. I opened the plastic delivery package and after cutting the top of the product bag, I noticed a very strong rancid odor. I thought maybe that’s normal for this product but after I made my protein shake with almond milk (which I had always been using for other brands), it had a bad taste and odor to it. About an hour after I drank it, I became very nauseated and had a bad indigestion. I took some Tums for my indigestion but continued to have severe nausea. When my wife was going to put the bag away on the kitchen counter, she noticed there was a tear in the product bag (not the shipment bag). After seeing the tear I thought that was the reason for the loss of vacuum and the product going rancid. After I read some of the negative reviews on Amazon by previous consumers, it appeared this has been a problem in the past without any mention of the torn package. It seems like the manufacturer had acknowledged it as well and it was because of a “bad batch”. Again, I have been a practicing physician in Dallas area for 30 years. When it comes to food /dietary supplements safety, a “bad batch” is not acceptable. Especially if the product makes a consumer sick. Thanks God I did not have any other symptoms and did not end up in the emergency room. There should be a better quality control for this high price protein supplement! I do not feel comfortable recommending this product to my friends, family members, or my patients.
