Used these to polish an aluminum head for a motorcycle. Worked great! They're pretty durable unless you grind against sharp edges but that's just common sense. Even when you don't get hold up pretty good though. I haven't had any fail catastrophically or fall apart yet and I'm getting a lot of mileage out of them before they're worn down.The only thing I'd change is I wish they'd fit in my Dremel but I'm sure I could find different shaft sizes. I picked up a 15 dollar corded drill at harbor freight so I wouldn't burn out my good cordless and it worked really well. Having a trigger lock is a game changer.I'd definitely recommend these. Great deal for a nice assortment.

Four auto wheels on a 2012 Camry covered with brake dust. Unable to get it off after using multiple products. Tried these with a very fine polish (Meguiar's) & Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser (liquid). Worked perfectly. 23 years of brake dust gone. Trick was to use these at a slow rotational speed in my drill. Did all four wheels and only used two of the individual felt pieces. Great value.

4th time to purchase..., 1st time was in 2017. They last a long time. Please note, anytime you work with metal, polishing should be the very last step (which most people find self evident yet EVEN professionals don't fully understand), and it should NOT take long. What that means is that if you are spending a lot of time with a felt polisher, you should back up a step and go with a 1000 - 3000 grit sandpaper. With metal, most of the hard work is done with super fine grit sandpaper; it is easier to get a true-to-flat/even surface. Sadly, this means putting some elbow grease and sweat equity into the project. SUPER IMPORTANT!!! - PLEASE NOTE: Polishing is not like using a drill. As a general rule of thumb (with a drill), the larger the bit, the slower the RPM; and similarly the smaller the bit the faster the RPM. Felt polishing tools, while they may look and act similarly to a drill bit, i.e. they rotate around a central axis, do not fall into this general rule of thumb classification. When using a felt polishing tip, especially the smaller tips, use as slow a RPM as possible. Many Dremel tools will let you select 5,000 - 8000 RPM. This is the fastest speed I would use with the small tips. The photos that another user posted shows what will happen when up crank up the RPMs - the tip WILL fly off. Remember, polishing is the last step of the process - it is delicate. So any manly, beefcake, welding/pipefitters that think they may approach fine detail polishing with a slam bam thank-you-ma'am attitude will only be disappointed and will probably leave bad reviews.

Did great polishing my triggers on me glock n ar15/10. Will be purchasing this set again when I need more polishing bits. Some may be slightly out of round but use it for a minute or so and they round up fine. Doesn't scratch

They do what they’re meant to do. These are for small projects and that’s all. They are somewhat durable if you don’t press too hard. That also means it will take a lot longer to polish something with them. Could be a little more affordable!

The media could not be loaded. Been using them to polish my lifter blocks and they work great.

You will see some negative reviews for the "100pcs Multifunctional Wool Felt Mandrel Mounted Grinding Polishing Accessories Attachment Set", particularly about the smaller diameter tools coming apart. Felt has it's physical limitations as would any similar substance. The reason they fly apart is not because they are made form inferior parts or design. The problem is that most die grinders such as my variable speed Dremel tool; is that even on it's lowest setting it's spinning so fast that centrifugal force literately throws the felt off of the bit. CAUTION!!! DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS IF YOU ARE NOT THOROUGHLY QUALIFIED TO DO ELECTRICAL WORK. My solution was to put a 110 volt outlet and a dimmer switch in a dual gang box with a power cord and wire the outlet through the dimmer. This allows me to slow down the die grinder, which not only prolongs the life of the felt but allows for less vibration and finer more detailed work. I should also note that theoretically this can damage or destroy your die grinder and certainly is not recommended by any manufacturer and will certainly void your warranty. If you attempt this, do not slow your grinder more than about 15%, don't over load it and don't try this on larger 1/4 inch die grinders such as a rotozip or dewalt, you will fry the dimmer and your grinder. If you attempt this do so at your own risk. Do not leave grinder unattended while plugged in, insufficient amplitude can cause over heating and possible risk of fire.

I bought this together with a jar of cerium oxide. I had a scratch on my glass underwater domeport and replacing the glass would have been well over $1000. After research on how to correct the scratch I bought the two items and was able to correct the scratch. If you are going to do this take great care to research the pattern you need to follow over the scratch and make sure you do not overheat the glass as it might crack. Also do not overdo it as you may create a flat spot on the dome which you will then see in your images. Needles to say that the purchase of the two products save my domeport and saved me hundreds of $$$
