Hi there! We don't recommend packing this as it would affect the original structure of the hat.

Q: I need a larger hat. Would this fit my 8 1/4 head?

It's a smidge too large for my 7-5/8 head.

Q: i would have to send this to a shipping company in FLA to be delivered to me in Belize. how well is it packed? will it arrive safe?

They packaged mine well and it arrived in brand new condition still.

Q: Is there a way to flatten the brim back out after shipping?

You could try steam. Dont get it wet but bring it in a hot shower or hold the creased part over a boiling kettle. Or send it back if ots damaged
