Ok I didn't like any of the answers here so hopefully I can clear things up.First off, the word "raw" has to do with being cooked (it can mean being processed but not in a canned good like this). So when people in these comments say it's raw, they don't really know what they're talking about as nowhere on the package does it either indicate that it's raw, or even the temperature that it's heated at.Now the thing is, is there's no use for being pedantic. What I mean is, is that if someone cooked coconut at room temperature, then no one cares as it would be subjected to that just laying out in a room. The idea is that (for raw foodists) when something is cooked, it loses it's whole nutritional value. There are cases where cooking does boost some of the nutrients but a lot of the other enzymes and nutrients are damaged (eggs are a good example of this. cooking eggs gives you double the protein but damages the rest of the nutritional content, not to mention the carcinogens produced by cooking them). So really what we're trying to do, is get products close ENOUGH to being raw, to the point where the nutrition you get from the raw form is still there. Still with me?A good litmus for heat in raw foodist circles, is that it shouldn't surpass body temperature. Body temperature is like 95+. The idea here, is that you can use whatever nutrients and enzymes survive that temperature, so it's ok to cook them at that temperature.This product (according to Caspurr) is heated at 170 degrees Fahrenheit, a full 70 degrees higher than body temperature. For reference, boiling water is 212 degrees Fahrenheit... so you can imagine 170 is significantly hot, like hot enough to burn you. Now the strawman presented by the rep who talked to Caspurr is interesting. "How did they remove the moisture" but really this is either an ignorant or disingenuous answer. There are other products on the market similar to this, sold on Amazon no less that are branded a "raw" product, and they subjected the coconut meat to around 107ish Farenheit. This is around body temperature... 95-105 temp water is the type of water you could put in an enema and be perfectly safe.My opinion is clear: if there are similar products that are heated less, then those are definitely more raw, especially if the heat matches body temperature.

Is this the same as coconut butter?

Yes, and every bit as delicious! It is most definitely worth every penny. You WILL most likely have to zap it in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds (of course, remove the lid first!), because it arrives rock hard in the jar, but you won't be sorry. Don't get into the habit of standing over the counter like I did, shoving large spoonfuls of this delicious stuff into your cake hole. It is very high in (good) fat and calories. Why do you think they call it "manna?" It is NOT for cooking with like coconut oil!

NO sweeteners are added. It has only the natural sweetness of coconut pulp. The jar contains only organic coconut oil & pulp with NO other ingredients.

How long can you store this in the pantry since no refrigeration is necessary?

I cannot give a definitive answer but if sealed and dark and cool it should last a year easily. I eat a spoon full per day so that it last many months and yet it does not change color, taste or texture in that time. Of course, I don't "double dip" since mouth enzymes and bacteria are bound to deteriorate most anything.
