E3D Prusa MK3 MK3S V6 HotEnd Kit

Debated between this and the 3rd party for half the price. I don't regret just getting the real thing. It went together smoothly with no issue. The printer did not throw me any errors and so far has corrected my thermal anomaly issue. Worth the extra money to only have to do this once and have it work the first time.

I had a ridiculous clog that destroyed my original hotend on my Prusa MK3S. It also tore away the thermistor wires and I just needed to replace the whole thing. Not to mention I broke off the heatbreak inside the heater block ... that didn't help. This assembly came just in time - I was super happy to find it on Amazon because I needed it quick! Exactly what I needed and got me up and running without any trouble. It's been printing for hundreds of hours since with no problem.

I was about to buy a whole new printer after 8 years.... Decided to give this a try. I could not be happier. Quality is incredibly high, the online instructions (you have to look them up) is very easy to follow. It fits flawlessly like an OEM product. It is on the steeper side of pricing, but you get what you pay for which is flawless print quality and incredible thoughtless printing. The thermal paste was good quality too... a lot of knock offs use cheap quality thermal paste. Not this one.

This does not come with instructions. Do not dispose of your old hotend before you receive this new one - you will need the old one in order to infer correct assembly of this new one. Even using your old one as a guide, it is very easy to get the assembly wrong. I initially installed the heater block upside down, neglected to install the provided plastic liner ring since it wasn't clear what that was for, and had no idea what the tiny grain-of-rice allen screws that came with this were for until I realized that you need those to lock the thinner wires into place in the heater block (that wasn't obvious even when inspecting my old heater block). A simple set of assembly instructions which wouldn't have cost the manufacturer 2 cents would have saved a lot of trouble and would have gotten them an extra star on this review from me. Having said that, it does work like a charm once you fire it up so I'll give it four stars for that.

If you own a Prusa, expect to need a replacement hot end at some point. The factory warranty is absolutely worthless and they are out of stock for the 3s+ hot end. My printer suddenly developed an issue from one good print to the next that failed. There was excessive clicking noice coming from the filament feed gears. I did everything possible to clean the system but failed. It took two weeks of emails to Prusa who in the end offered nothing other than useless cleaning advice. I would have just gone with a replacement hot end from the start if they had any in stock and I never checked amazon to see if one was available until it was late. If you are in the same boat, go ahead and just save the pain and wasted time and order this one. Assembly was very straight forward and this was a drop in replacement for my printer. I I also like the fact that this comes with the collet clip as my original did not have one. Now for the people complaining and leaving negative reviews because they did not receive a PTFE tube with this, get real. Not only should you have your old PTFE tube but Prusa also includes a spare replacement. Stop leaving negative reviews for a product that works extremely well.

This genuine hot end kit solved the clogging and leaking issues in my FYSETC MK3S clone kit. The included hot end is garbage, clogging, leaking, and loose in the printed extruder parts and would not allow one single successful print. Putting this genuine E3D hot end kit solved the issues immediately. I should have bought this instead of wasting hours trying to get the stock garbage to work.

Do not buy this replacement kit. Missing parts. No instructions.

Had the blob of death due to a print lifting up, but this time I nicked the thermistor wire. An easy fix but I don't want to deal with it right now. So I ordered this. Assembly was fast and easy, just go to YouTube for instructions. I had to reuse the connector to the board from the original one and it also requires the PTFE tube (you should really keep spares of these anyway). But once it was reassembled, just run the calibration wizard, do a new first layer calibration, and you're good to go. It gave off a weird smell at first, but that's likely the heatsink paste curing or something. It prints like it's brand new now. I'll deal with fixing the gunked up hotend later and then use that as a spare.
