Doesn't work on SmallRig 1955 handle
I purchased this to attach to my SmallRig 1955 NATO handle. The 1955 has an area to mount this unit on the front of the handle. It goes on there securely, but the problem is that you can't really swivel the monitor. You can only swivel it when it's parallel to the handle, making it pointless. Kind of hard to describe, but if you look at the image of the 1955 handle, you'll see that only place to mount this renders it unable to swivel. It may work if you're planning to attach it elsewhere. But if you plan on using this with the 1955, don't plan on being able to swivel the screen. Opt instead fro the cold-shoe mounted version. This will allow you to attach it to the top of the 1955 handle and allow you to swivel the monitor as intended. Plus it's like $25 cheaper! Other than that, it seems well built like all other SmallRig products. Just make sure it works for your intended application. Also, wish they had an option with Arri pins on the monitor attachment side. I have a SmallHD Focus which has the locating pin holes, but they don't do me any good with this mount.

A little overpriced, but works well enough
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I'm using this to hold up an 5" external recorder, and for that it works perfectly fine. You can tilt/swivel the mount as needed to get a bigger angle, and it isn't really a pain to attach or unattach. The fact that it only occupies two of the Arri locating pin slots means that you can either mount it in the vertical or horizontal orientation -- assuming wherever you're mounting it to has the usual 4 pins. This is a plus for me, but I suppose that if you were using a much heavier monitor you'd prefer the extra sturdiness that 2 additional pins would bring. You really can't go wrong with this mount if your usecase is just a simple external monitor/recorder. My only complaint is that this mount doesn't look like it's worth $65.

Awesome
Probably one of the best monitor mounts Smallrig makes. Totally worth every penny. The Arri locating pins should be the standard for everything camera screw related thing, it just makes sense.

Almost perfect
This is a high-quality piece and works well. I just wish Smallrig had used the same knob design for the ARRI attachment knob as the monitor knob, so one could use a hex key as a lever. Weird design choice, in my opinion.

Doesn't hold up with ninja flame. Too heavy!
It's a cool idea. Has a design flaw. The hinge should have been designed with a twist fastener. After my second use it's loosened. Says it's compatible with atomos ninja series. The flame I believe is too heavy for it. According to payload specs it shouldn't be. This is a waist of money for me

Worth every cent
This is a solid, reliable holder for your expensive monitor. Monitors can fall and crack using bad products. This was WAY better than I expected. Highly recommend.Dont put your expensive monitor on weak clamps

Slips over time quite a bit with Ninja V
In its basic form this works great when paired with a Smallrig cage. I enjoy the security of it being tightly mounted to the cage vs the cold shoe version of this.My biggest complaint with this product is that after 4 days of use the vertical hinge has greatly loosened off which results in it slipping quite a bit with my Ninja V mounted. The Ninja V is one of the lightest monitor/recorders out there. I would hate to see how weak this is with one of the larger options

Great swivel/tilt
I really like this mount, the arri locking pins help keep it in place. You do need to torque the screw down a bit but top notch piece.
