Review: Such a waste of hard-earned money. - It worked fine when I first put a game in, played for about 30 minutes on August 1 (3 days before my return window closed) just to make sure it wasn’t going to give me any problems. Satisfied, I disconnected it and waited for some PS3 games to come in the mail. When they finally got here, I reconnected it and almost immediately had big problems. It freezes constantly. Freezes during gameplay, freezes on the Home Screen, freezes in safe mode. Most of the time it freezes with distorted screens. It is unplayable, it is beyond frustrating. And the worst part, I can’t return it now since the return window closed just ten days ago. $385 down the toilet. I will add that this is the second PS3 I had this issue with. Back in February, I had the exact same issue with another PS3 I purchased on desertcart from a different seller. And once again, too late to return it. That one was $468. People, before you make a purchase like this, stop and consider the risks you are taking with your hard earned money. You see a backward compatible PS3 for $400 and think it’s a worthy investment. How many hours do you have to work to earn that? Consider the food on your table. The gas in your tank. Your bills. Your children. Now picture all that money being flushed down the toilet. Watch it spin around for a couple seconds before it goes down and disappears, never to be seen again. That’s a pretty sad mental picture, isn’t it? Thats what happened to me. That’s basically the risk you’re taking when you make a purchase like this. Personally, I can’t believe that there are sellers getting away with this sort of thing. The choice is ultimately yours, the risk is yours to take. You may or may not have the same problem. I’ve seen a few lucky ones slip through. The ones go on about their undying satisfaction and joy. Then there are those of us who are filled with regret and disappointment once their mistake has rooted. I think your chances of being one or the other here is about 50/50. The question is, is that a chance you want to take with your money? The choice is yours. Review: Doesn’t work - I also had an issue with this.. it worked for a couple of weeks and then wouldn’t power on.. it had a red light that blinked 3 times and then a yellow light.. I called support and did all the suggested troubleshooting with no luck.. really bummed out and also frustrated

Does not work
This item was supposed to be "renewed." It constantly believes it is overheating and will not turn on. I searched around and believe that it needs its thermal paste replaced. Paying hundreds of dollars for a console over a decade old that doesn't work is extremely frustrating. Don't make the same mistake I did and believe that a refurbished or refreshed item will actually work. Shame on the seller and shame on me.
