I like the way author describe the concept. First he explain the concept and later provides why it will be useful. Also he will compare with old techstack. We have old products which were build on java, C++ based. After reading through this, I was able to proposed my leadership about value in moving to microservices architecture and what are the challenges we can avoid. Earlier I had a soft copy but it compelled me to buy a hard book rather than rely on digital copy.

Another gem from the publication. 1 star less for seller charging full price and Rs 200 as courier price in online market place.

This book is packed with wisdom! Chris Richardson has done an amazing job of distilling and clearly articulating a vast amount of experience with microservices. Read this book and save yourself countless hours of trial and error.

Good one

This is a decent book. The biggest issue I find with this book is to go through the code/logic written in some obscure framework (eventuate) written by the author, and get into the nitty-gritty of it, and you start losing the thread midway. The author would have done mercy by not using his framework, and instead used a generic client to write to MQ. So once you are done reading the book, you would be left with some high-level terms in your head, and all the low-level implementation details would be off of your head. This makes this book a feel-good book, wherein you remember a lot of terms and use them in discussions to make yourself look intelligent if that's what your motto is.

I have exchanged first order because binding has not done properly and paper quality also not good. even second order also same paper quality. I requesting to seller please improve paper quality and binding.

Good book

I find the book to give a very good overview of the concept of microservices while discussing pros and cons of different architectural approaches. Before reading I had some experience working with microservice applications, and I wanted to assert some of this knowledge and learn more while at it. The book delivered.

Un libro muy completo. El autor recorre de manera exhaustiva toda la arquitectura de micro servicios y establece patrones de diseño para cada característica. Más que un libro es un manual de referencia en cuanto a esta arquitectura, y ofrece una guía para el desarrollo de aplicaciones modernas basadas el cloud. En ocasiones es un poco denso debido a que se llega a definir cada patrón de manera similar a cómo lo haría un matemático con un teorema. Realmente me ha gustado mucho y lo recomiendo.

Fantastic book - well written, practical examples ( that I usually skip ), great depths into explaining different concepts. One thing that stands out is how the author starts by stating what it's going to be covered in the following section, and also the summaries at the end of each ones. Great detail to writing. Chris goes into great detail explaining the ecosystem around microservices, as well as most patterns one will usually encounter out there in the wild. Something that is slightly off for me is the fact that the author promotes his library/framework throughout this book - however, it's being used for the examples. The other available options are mentioned as well and the author is transparent about the fact that his stack is being used - only a rather sensible choice.
