New Trent 12.9 iPad Pro 3rd Generation (2018) Case, Dual Layer Rugged Kickstand with Hand Strap, Apple Pencil Holder & Built-in Screen Protector, not Compatible with iPad Pro 12.9 4th Gen(2020) !

Here’s what this product has: A rotating hand grip. A stand that’s easy to use. A place to store an apple pen. Finally, a cover to protect my screen from scratches. This case for my iPad Pro 12.9 inch has a cover screen, one has to mention this when searching. Also the stand on the back is so easy to take out and put back in. If I had to complain, it would be the adjustable hand strap. But once that’s in, it doesn’t need anything else.

Other than the fact that the order came one day later than promised, and one day earlier for me to have accepted Amazon’s offer to get it free, we’re off to a good start.I looked long and hard for a case that balanced bulk, ease of one hand holding, and pencil security (those things are $$$). I think I got that and more.The disassembly and reassembly was effortless and I didn’t have to tap the video. Being “that guy” I barely even looked at the instructions and still had an easy and fast assembly. Construction seems solid & about as good as I’ve seen on some of the big names in device protection.I love love love the accommodation for the pencil. It drops in and attaches to the iPad for charging. There’s a little door that keeps the pencil from falling off in my bag keeping it charged as designed. (Have I mentions how much those pencils cost?!)The strap is very comfortable and looks easy to adjust. While I prefer the leather on this case, I was also concerned with stretching. Not anymore. While it comes with adjustment holes prepunched in the strap, there is also room on the strap/handle to add more if needed later and it still look great.I didn’t need the protection screen because I had one put in when I purchased my iPad. So I tried to install this case over the existing screen protector. Turns out that it wasn’t an issue and the sensitivity of the screen was not affected (or at least noticeably so). Being the local record holder on how fast one can break the screen on a new device (90 minutes), I’m liking the psychological comfort of the double protection even if intellectually I don’t think it helps much.The stand is stable and handles my needs. I’ll have to hold judgement until the “cramped airline table test” but will try to remember to get back on that one. While a good feature, and necessary for most, my needs on this front was simple and most any case would have sufficed.The one and only problem I thought I was going to have with the case was the buttons for the volume and etc. During assembly you see these teeny tiny buttons that frankly I had difficulty working. I wanted to test things to see if I wanted to continue to put my iPad in this thing for fear of having to wrestle it out later. However, when you put the 3rd and final cover on. It has these large buttons and operating the controls is not an issue in the slightest.All in all, I’m glad I didn’t settle for the other options. 1. They were not an exact match for my needs, 2. They were more expensive. I’m always concerned when things sound too good and don’t have a lot of reviews (at this writing, this is the 3rd review). Hope this helps you get a feel for first impressions.

I have purchased two of these. The first one I accidentally dropped the ipad about a week ago. when it fell the kickstand was the only thing that broke. Also when it dropped I managed to lessen the impact when it fell. However the kickstand still broke. I then proceeded to purchase it again thinking that the kickstand only broke because it fell. When I got the new one in and on the ipad the second time I went to pick up the ipad while the kickstand was extended the new kickstand broke as well. While the Kickstand is metal it appears as though the metal is a cheap cast aluminum that is prone to fracture. I will not purchase another.Since posting this review New Trent sent me a replacement free of charge. I have updated to 4 stars for quality customer service. I will keep using the case to see how it performs. So far so good.

I loved my original IPad case from these folks. I had a smaller iPad at the time, but I used it constantly. No issues.I purchased a larger IPad and immediately ordered the NT case for it. It broke in 6 months. The kickstand just doesn’t last. Assuming I had received a dud but still believing in the company, I got this one. It just had the same issue today. Kickstand unusable. After 4 months. So disappointing.I am a careful user, but my IPad is my home computer, so I am using it constantly over the course of a normal day. I have never dropped either of them. I do not use it roughly. But it just doesn’t stand the test of time like previous models.

Wanted this so reading books for long periods would be comfortable, and its does that in spadessurprisingly nice case, pleasantly surprised at the quality. I will say though i popped out the included screen cover and installed my own.After two years i came back to edit my review, seeing as how the MAIN FUNCTION OF THIS CASE BROKE. I've never dropped this case and last night from about two inches off the ground it hit tile and the kickstand now cant stay up. After a year the lil magnet that kept it in place broke, that i dont mind but the SECOND it hits something hard the main appeal breaks? Sad, I recommend that if you want a case with a kickstand to not go with this product. Unless your one of those Apple slaves who dont care about buying something new every 3 months i recommend going with a different product

I have been using NewTrent for my iPads for years and have always been totally satisfied with the quality of their cases. I’m hooked on the handle, no other manufacturer has this and to me it means everything. I am no longer tied to a desk, it gives me complete mobility with my tablet without fear of dropping it.I waited for NewTrent to release this case and am not disappointed, I have a place for my “pencil” that is totally secure the screen saver works beautifully as does the stand.It’s a product that once you encase you’re IPad you no longer need to worry about it.I’m just a happy consumer and have no ties to NewTrent.

I really like Newtrent cases. I use them on all my personal iPads. This is my second model and I like almost everything about it. My only complaint is that the screen protector scratched too easily. I will do the same thing I did with my old one and remove there screen protector and just put one on myself.

I am a field adjuster for insurance and have to go to multiple inspections a day. I love how I can spin it around while on my hand to make super fast sketches of rooms. This case is durable, sleek, and super reliable. The volume up button is a little firm but nothing too bad. I love how my Apple Pencil is always protected too! Extremely satisfied.

This is a thoroughly thought out and well made product.Unfortunately I had to order a second one as my Son dropped it and broke the metal stand part. The rest was undamaged but the stand is very useful and versatile.
