Steba FG 70 Cool Touch Grill, 1800 W, Stainless Steel/Black

In general I'm pleased with this grill. It really does look the part, there's plenty of brushed metal and stainless steel. The non-stick coating is very non-stick which makes cleaning the pans very easy. It heats up in about 3 minutes from cold to max which helps greatly with breakfast and the pivoting lid allows both plates to come in contact with thicker food like a steak.The integrated drain tray means you don't have to go to the back of the device to remove any drained water/grease, it drains at the back and the tray slides out the front. Unfortunately it doesn't work perfectly as described later.The lid clicks into place when it's aligned with the handle (IE: not pivoting) and clips out nice and easy when you need it to, which feels really nice and is very practical as you don't need to fidget with anything that might burn you, you just give it a prod and it pivots or if there is food at the back of the grill it will unclip automatically so the plates are parallel. The exposed surfaces and lid really are cool enough to touch during cooking. The plates can be propped apart at a configurable distance if you don't want the top plate to touch the food, such as if you've topped something with cheese etc.The reason I can't give it 5 stars is that the grease and water drain isn't perfect. If you're cooking a wet food (Minute steak and pork chops did it for me) that produces grease and water in quantity the draining water (about half of it) gets under the bottom plate instead of going into the drain tray. The bottom plate seems to be designed to protrude out the back of the machine but it's not enough, and the draining fluids, now dried, have to be cleaned out of the machine with the bottom plate removed. I tried elevating the front of the machine but it didn't help. It's an annoyance but I still quite like the grill.
