I love this lock. Its long, lightweight, flexible and the tumblers are smooth. Its a bit thin but thats why its so easy to use. If you are looking to lock something In an area where your cable is not likely to be cut, this is a good option.

Bought this lock to meet specific needs for long distance bike touring. Looking for (1) easy to use, (2) light weight, (3) compact. This device meets all those needs.Would have preferred that the combo was resettable, but it is not. Would have preferred a 5ft length but it is only 4ft. And it's diameter at 0.22" is such that most any wire cutter will get thru it with only a little work. But my intent is only to be able to take my eyes off the bike for a few minutes while shopping or drinking, and this lock will prevent someone from just riding off into the sunset.Understand its limitations and it is a find lock for what it is.

I keep this under the seat of my Versys 1000 to secure my jacket and helmet to the bike when i am away from it and don't want to carry them. Admittedly this will not keep away the thief with the heavy set of bolt cutters, but it keeps my stuff safe from the thief of opportunity. It is long enough to go through the face opening the the helmet and then down the arm of the jacket. The self coiling aspect of it makes using it a slight challenge when using it, but worth it when you want to store it. Would purchase again.

My fault in making assumptions. If it was not written, do not assume it has the feature. This combo lock is 'self-coiling' which I did not want. I assumed that I could change the combination to what I want and not a predetermined factory setting. I was wrong again. I am sure that the product is good, compact, light weight, and very useful for temporary securing your property for very short period of time but not for long periods or overnight.

The lock is lightweight and easy to use. Haven’t come across a thief yet and hopefully won’t. The lock is long enough to chain 2 bikes together but not to a fence or pole.

I bought this lock because I was tired of using a key lock for my bike. Not even a week after using this lock, my bike was STOLEN. It was cut right through with a pair of scissors or a knife with ease. My bike was not in a particularly bad area- it was on my college campus overnight (where my bike and other student's bikes were stored every night). And it wasn't because I had a particularly nice bike- this bike was very old and partially broken and did not have any speeds on it.Don't be tempted by the low price of this lock- spend the extra $30 and get a U-lock. It's worth it if you don't want your bike stolen.

This lock is really to be used as a secondary lock, to protect items from someone deciding on the spur of the moment to grab your stuff.The lock is very lightweight, which for a secondary lock is a plus. Although I *might* trust it to lock my bike while I ran in a bodega to buy a few items, especially if I could see the bike from the register. But its main purpose is to lock your accessories, e.g.: seat, helmet, etc. to the frame. Yes, jackasses steal bike seats, not to make money, but just to mess up someone's day.I also plan to use it while traveling, to secure my backpack to the train seat or cafe seat/table, for peace of mind as a protection against "grab and run" theft.Keep in mind that it has a fixed combination (you can't change it). And that combination is of 6 digits times 4 rings. So 1,296 possible combinations; a little better than a 10 digit x 3 lock with 1,000 combinations. But for either of those, keep in mind that it's pretty easy for a thief to try a digit per second, so even if your combination is the last one tried, 1,296 seconds is only about 21 minutes. And remember the probable scenario that the thief finds the solution in the first half of attempts, so closer to 10 minutes of safety. And that assumes that the thief didn't come with a heavy wire cutter.

Poor quality

Light weight, fits in a pocket ish. Comes with its own non changeable combination. But if you register it they will remember it for you

Wenn man wirklich zum Stehlen nach Fahrräder schaut, würde man entsprechend mit dem mächtigen Schneider unterwegs sein. Dann ist der Durchmesser des Schlossseils ohnehin überwindbar. Dann lieber ein Schloss mit dünnem und leichtem Seil, damit das Gewicht keine Rolle spielt. Ich nutze dieses Schloß für Rennrad. Auch keine Kinder und Frau nutzten dies.
