I have been using this rolling pin for several years, and it has worked really well in my kitchen. I use it for everything from rolling out cookie dough and shortcrust pastry to preparing pierogi and larger batches of dough. The metal surface can be chilled in the freezer, which is especially helpful when working with shortcrust pastry—it sticks less and is easier to keep at the right consistency. Another advantage is that the rolling pin is easy to clean and can be reused quickly. The included rings allow you to set the dough thickness, making pastry bases, cookies, and pierogi more even. I have two other rolling pins, but this is my favorite one. I like the measurements inscribed on it, and I LOVE that you can use the different sizes for different thickness of dough. Sturdy and well made. I will buy one for my daughter in law.

I've been baking for a while, and have never given a metal rolling pin a thought. I usually use my french rolling pin for whatever dough i happen to need it for, or my old standard wood rolling pin with handles. I saw this deal one day for the rolling pin and the pastry mat and decided to give it a try. Now that i have it, and used it several times for pie and cookie dough, i'll never use my others again. Everything i roll with this rolling pin comes out perfect. The thickness rings make rolling out dough a breeze, especially when you need the thickness of the dough to be consistent throughout. This is something i could achieve with a lot of work with my old rolling pin, and near to impossible with the french pin. I've made several batches of chocolate covered butter cookies (i can't ever make enough of them. either family members take them on sight, or when friends stop by they steal them and take them home). Everybody has told me how they are even better than before for some reason. I know the reason is the dough is a perfect thickness before i bake them, so they bake evenly. And getting them to a perfect thickness couldn't be easier. Also, the pastry mat that came with the pin is a real plus. I've seen them on Amazon before, but never really thought they were necessary. Now that I've used it, I see why bakers like them so much. With a little flour, nothing sticks. When you lay the mat on the countertop, it virtually sticks to it, never budging an inch. And clean up is easy. Everything wipes right off. When done, i simply roll it up and stash it away till next time. For $20 bucks and change, this was definitely a bargain.

This works for me pretty well. The size is good but I wish it was a little bit wider for rolling out bigger pieces of dough. The weight is nice and feels comfortable in hand. I love that you can get a consistent roll all the way through. It feels like durability will not be an issue and it looks nice. The baking mat is nice as well and I find it to be a good size for my needed. I do have a small issue with dough sticking a little bit but with a little more added flour ticks well.

I absolutely love this rolling pin. I use it for cookies and pretty much all of my baking now. The thickness rings make it so much easier to get everything even, and the stainless steel is really easy to clean. This is honestly the best baking tool I’ve bought so far! I also love the fact that it’s pretty much non stick. If you love to make sugar cookies or pie for the holidays this is a must have.

Super easy to adjust the thickness for the rolling pin. Its sizes are color coded. I bake a lot and this mat makes measuring out pie crusts super easy! Its easy to clean. The material is great. The pie dough does stick to the mat a bit if you dont flour it enough. Its folds up nicely. The size is fantastic.

I have problems rolling evenly flat with my current marble rolling pin and arthritic hands. I've never used a handle-less pin before. I am pleasantly surprised at how much easier it is use a lighter weight pin. The disks make sure the dough is even thickness. And the large free mat, what a gem! What a discovery! It makes cleaning up so much easier and no more residue on the quartz counter top. A two-fer bargain at a remarkably low price. Get one now !

I used this to roll out my dough to make croissants, it has made life much easier in ensuring even thickness when laminating the dough.

What a cool set! The smooth stainless steel feels nice in your hands and perfectly rolls anything you'd like to exact measurements. Being able to swap out the disks for whichever size you need is an awesome concept. It also makes baking with my kids so easy, especially for sugar cookies, which need a specific thickness to bake properly. No guessing just rolling!
