Amazing product!!
The set up on this was so easy! I tried doing the Alpha trackr 3 last week and it was so complicated. I sent it back because it should be very easy and simple to do this. This unit took me about five minutes to set up. if you’re unhappy with the lancet device, which seems to be most peoples complaint, they sell a very nice vacuum suction one that doesn’t hurt your pet for about $85 on Chewy it’s called Pet Test Genteel. It does not go down to pain receptors and vacuums out the blood to the level you need for the reading. It also works with about any lancets you already have. As expensive as these test strips are to buy, getting this device lancer device will make it painless for your pet and you’ll be able to make sure that you get enough blood drawn the first time as you continue the suction until the droplet is big enough. Some people have video’s demonstrating the use of that particular lancer device on YouTube for pets. And as expensive as test strips are, that lancer device will pay for itself with the ability not to waste test strips and on top of that you don’t have to be afraid of hurting your pet anymore. This glucose monitoring system also comes with videos put out on YouTube for every step of the set up process. Also you can easily now do your pets glucose curve at home with these 2 items in combination without any pain to your pet. Then you can download the free Vetsulin app to record your pets glucose information and do your own glucose curve every 2 hours for 12 hours before feeding til the next 12 hour time frame or longer and everything else and send it by email to your Vet. This will save a lot of money.

Amazing Customer Service
I recently ventured into the world of canine health monitoring with this dog glucose monitor. As someone who is not particularly tech-savvy, diving into the realm of pet health tech was intimidating. However, my experience with this glucose monitor turned out to be surprisingly positive. I encountered a few hiccups during the initial stages of using the product. I needed guidance so I reached out to the company and the assistance I received was nothing short of fantastic. They demonstrated patience and expertise, guiding me through every step until I felt comfortable operating the glucose monitor. As someone who tends to struggle with technological gadgets, I appreciated that the device was designed with simplicity in mind as the interface is intuitive. What truly impressed me was the company's commitment to ensuring their customers' success with their product. They didn't just provide quick fixes, they took the time to ensure that I had a solid understanding of how to use the monitor effectively. Once I gained confidence in operating the glucose monitor, the results were very accurate and monitoring my dog's glucose levels became a breeze. The Pet Control HQ dog glucose meter has not only made health monitoring accessible for me but has also exceeded my expectations in terms of customer support. If you're a fellow technophobe looking to take charge of your dog's health, I recommend giving this product a try.

Requires too much blood!
This monitor requires too large of a blood sample. If you have a diabetic dog, you probably know it's hard getting a sample. I got many errors and wasted many test strips because the sample was too small. And ended up doing multiple pricks which was stressful for my dog. Customer service is in Australia but no help at all. I switched to the Alpha Trac 3 and it was like night and day! Very little blood needed! Pettest is also a good monitor. I have both. So don't waste your money on this. You'll be disappointed. I just wish I'd returned it and gotten my money back but I just figured it was my fault because I couldn't get a big enough sample. Now the return window has expired.

Requires a lot of blood
I prefer glucometer that doesn’t need a lot of blood, I feel bad for my cat that I had to prick her few times or use larger gauze needle. But very easy to use.

Competent system for monitoring pet blood glucose
Straight forward usage model. LC display is large and clear. Audible tones for status is a plus.Initially ran into a situation where glucose readings from the veterinarian office differed considerably from this system's reading. The support team informed me that whereas the vet's office draws blood from my cat's leg, this system reads blood picked from the capillaries, in my cat's case, from the ear. A difference is not unexpected.Anyway, after several samples, we determined a fairly consistent offset between vet office values and from this system.BOTTOM-LINE: It is accurate enough. We changed my cat's diet and blood glucose readings have fallen and remained steady in a safe area.

Finally!
My senior dog was diagnosed with diabetes a few weeks ago, and the vet recommended a certain brand of glucose meter. So I ordered it, but when it came, it took 7 error strips to get any reading at all...EVERY TIME...and the readings I was getting were very erratic. So I returned that meter and did some of my own research, and I stumbled upon this little gem.I have had a reading from this meter every single time without fail. It simply works. The numbers are trending the ways that they should, calculating from insulin doses and meals and so forth. It's simple and intuitive and about half the price of the one my vet recommended.I'm a little nervous because the reference range is quite higher on this one than on comparable meters on the market, and the control solution reference range is also very high (about 100 points higher than others), but since most glucose management in pets is about the curve (the insulin response), the actual numbers are not *too* important, as long as you're staying within a good range. So I will keep using this one and see if my girl and I can get her new life figured out, but out of the box, I am impressed and happy.
