Overall a Good Product
I agree with other viewers that when it comes to sealing, with these bags it’s not as easy as with regular disposable plastic bags. I have come to term that I just have to be patient, starting from one end and work towards the other to make sure the seal is complete. I also notice that on a chilly day, these bags seal much easier. If I take a bag right out of the fridge, it clips and closes like a dream. Also, since these (re)zip bags are really flat, they are not easy to dry. I recently came up with this contraption, which helps tremendously. You will need a pair of tongs, or two soup ladles, and a jar. Place the tongs up-side-down in the jar and prop your washed bag around the tongs. Leave it on the kitchen counter and the bag should be completely dry the next day.The feature I like the most about these bags is they are very easy to clean. The corners are rounded so the sponge can reach them. I have been washing disposable plastic bags for years and they are at times too flimsy to clean. Also the plastic ones tend to look old and crinkled after around the third wash. The re(zip) bags don’t have this problem. The material is sturdy and holds its shape.

Dont do it
I bought these mostly to make me feel better about myself. When it comes down to it I really dont use that many ziploc bags, but in the name of being environmentally friendly, I was going to use these. I am throwing them away today. Food gets in the seams and is impossible to clean out. Fruit juice stains them. Really a mason jar or Tupperware bowl will do anything these can do. Heck, just wash your ziploc bags. I was too afraid to use these for meat and was using the same amount of ziploc bags anyway because in reality, that's all I really used them for anyway. So if you want to save the environment, invest in glass jars and bowls that come with lids because these were pointless. They also made my watermelon taste like plastic, so they are also a waste of watermelon. I melted one because it happened to be in the sink when I strained some noodles. The zippers are well made. The most convenient thing these bags did for me was hold homemade pierogies in the freezer for two months, but then the bag wouldnt get clean from the starch from the dough.

Legit leak proof!!
I purchased these bags because 1) I am committed to being as waste free as possible/finding large reusable zip locks is not easy and 2) I was traveling by plane and needed to bring food with me as I have extreme food allergies... so I always travel with my own food... one of the food items was two quarts of soup broth. This item is advertised as travel friendly and leak proof... but who really knows and the reviews are a mix. A lot of people say they use it to store fruit and that it’s leak proof... but a banana doesn’t leak... so I didn’t find those reviews helpful.Well... I took a chance I am happy to announce that these worked like a charm. I got my luggage from baggage claim, anxiously opened it up (assuming soup would be everywhere) but everything was completely intact! Very impressed! This a my first time using the bags so I cannot truly speak to the ease of cleaning or how long these will last— BUT if you are looking for leak proof and travel friendly... look no further!(Photo provided is of my mostly melted soup broth after the journey)Will update as needed.

Quality product
I have purchased these bags on three separate occasions. The bags that came in my first two orders are very difficult to seal, as other reviewers have mentioned. However, the bags that came in my most recent purchase are very easy to close, so it seems that issue has been addressed. These bags are very high quality and made of thick material. I turn them inside out to wash them and leave them inside out to dry, otherwise they won't dry because they lie flat. They are easy to clean, other than if things get stick in the zipper part (mostly if a piece of lettuce, cilantro, etc. gets zipped into the zipper).

Really well made
Just so you know, you cannot use these in sous vide, lol. They are not the right kind of plastic that you can cook in by any means, BUT they are really good reusable bags. They are very thick and sturdy, and close easily and securely. You can fit a lot in them, I have used them many times for food and even ice.I got them originally in the hopes of being able to use them for cooking in sous vide but after researching found out that the type of plastic is not safe for any high temperatures, which is why they say you cannot put them in the dishwasher either. You can, however, freeze them so that's good.

Great for refillable ice pack.
Ever find yourself away from refrigeration for a long time but see ice machines everywhere and wish you could tap into that chilling power. Well here you go. I got these bags because that is my situation. I needed an ice pack that I could refill from an ice machine. This may sound weird but if you ever travel a lot you will find ice everywhere: restaurants, airplanes, hotels, etc. But if you have a standard ice pack the only way to "recharge it" is to shove it somewhere cold. This bag however you can fill up from the ice and place it in your cooler. Next spot you find ice. dump the water and refill. If you do find a freezer fill it with water let it freeze and it stays cold for about a day. I've been traveling with this with this bag for over a year. One of the bags has a tiny pin prick of a leak on the edge of the seal. but if you strategically place the bag in the cooler it's not a big deal.Note on washing. I would hand wash these. Can you put it in the dishwasher... yeah but don't. the heat messes with the seal and makes it hard to close. and if you're putting food in it there is a bit of residue that can get left behind and it makes the food takes a bit plasticy. If you hand wash it really is much better. Now that said it is a giant floppy bag it is not fun to wash but it's way more durable and way better for the environment that a standard ziplock.
