Fast, Accurate, and Easy to Use
This tester gives clear, detailed readings on battery health, charge, and cranking performance. It’s plug-and-play with no setup required, and works on a wide range of vehicles.I’ve used it on cars, motorcycles, and bus with no issues. It’s compact, reliable, and a must-have for any garage.

You get a lot of information in a very short time, I like it.
This little jewel seems to cover pretty much everything the Life and Strength of your battery, Plus check the starter draw which I have a tool that I call a little toaster because when I hook it up, it actually has a wire that glows red hot , you hold that for 10 seconds and when you release it, then it tells you the strength of your battery so it would simulate a starter cranking. It also checks the alternator current to make sure it is working correctly, for what you pay for it I think you get a very good little unit. {value for your money} It will tell you whether the battery is good bad or needs to charged just with lights plus you could look at the information and learn how to read it to get the same information but it will give you the lights and make it simpl. The cable length, could be a little longer for the starter test and alternator test because they ask you to start the engine, then change the setting to alternator test, then hold the throttle to obtain 2500 RPM for five seconds. You could sit in the car and do it all otherwise you are running back-and-forth to change the settings on the tester.I have tested 11 different batteries so far and it's read what I would consider to be reliable and accurate information on every one.I like, it's a good little tester.

Reasonable longevity
This works pretty well for diagnosing the health of a battery. It provides a readout on the state of charge, total capacity remaining and importantly the remaining life. A battery is a consumable and loses its capacity over time. I've used this about a dozen times over 3 years and it still works although the springs in the battery clamps have really lost their ability to grip the post tightly. I find that odd given they have only been opened about a dozen times. The meter still works, you just have to help the spring clamps. This device doesn't use batteries as it uses the battery you are testing for power.

Easy to use does a great job!
Great design with nice build quality and very easy to use. It has alot of features but I use it mostly to test battery’s and it gives the voltage and life percentage of the battery. Very compact and easy to story it has made my life a lot easier and given a lot of peace of mind.

Compact, inexpensive, functional
Keep this little guy on hand to check battery capacity in you on or off road vehicles. Volt meters don't indicate battery health, yet this does. Every backyard wrench turner should have on. Easy to read and use with its large displat

Unexpectedly good
I have been using a 500 amp carbon pile load tester to test lead acid batteries for many years. It works well enough, but it’s large, heavy, and tends to smell bad as it heats up when you use it. It also drains a significant amount of energy from the battery under test to the point where the user manual suggested to charge the battery after running a load, test. Also, the analog voltmeter, is not particularly accurate or easy to read in dim light or at an angle, due to parallax.I bought the TOPDON BT100 with low expectations, but I was proven wrong. The battery health (load) test works by putting a high load on the battery for a very short time, so it does not dissipate much power during the test. This has the advantage of allowing the device to draw very little total energy from the battery and thus generate very little heat. There is also no need to recharge the battery after the test. While the load is applied it measures the battery voltage and calculates the internal resistance of the battery and its capabilities for cranking amps (CA and CCA), as well as displaying its loaded and unloaded voltage. You can set the specified CCA of the battery before the test, which allows it to return a go / no-go result. One of the many advantages of this approach is that the tester is able to determine if the battery clips are not well connected before the test. I tested the BT100 on a number of lead acid batteries, including a 9AH UPS battery, an 18AH UPS battery, a 250AH AGM battery bank that I use for power back up, and my car battery which is rated for 520 CCA. In all cases, I got nearly identical results to the carbon pile tester. In addition to battery health, you can use it while starting the car to measure cranking time and the minimum battery voltage during cranking. You can also use it to test the charging system in your car, and of course, to report the battery idle voltage.Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality results provided by this device. I’ve only owned it for a couple of weeks, so I can’t speak to its longevity, but so far it’s a huge win.Disclaimer: I purchased this with my own money. I was not asked to write this review, and these are my own opinions. Also, I am not an AI bot although I’m not sure how you could tell if I was :)

Good little tester
Handy little gadget. Got this to test a battery and alternator that wasn't quite working. Turns out the alternator is ok (even tested at the parts store), but the battery is getting weak. Defiantly something for the toolbox.
