Read the instructions or at least this review!If you power it on it’ll beep at you like crazy.That’s because you need to remove the battery cover, pull out the battery and flip it over. The battery is basically disconnected for transit. I thought it was doa.Buy a kettle lead plug: it doesn’t come with one! It does state this in the detailed product spec.I also bought a iec to 4gang cable so I could just plug in a standard UK 3pin plugIt comes with one IEC to IEC cable - I had two in the box.Charged up very quickly, (1300) and tested a few times. I’m only using it to run the UniFi router in my home but it’s predicting 3.5 to 4 hours runtime. Very happy overall, and very little smell and no discernible noise or buzz.

Three weeks later I ran the manufacturer's own battery diagnostic tool (apctest) and the self-test FAILED TO COMPLETE.I then checked the battery manufacture date directly from the UPS firmware. The result:BATTDATE: 2022-03-31This battery is over FOUR YEARS OLD. This unit was sold to me as new.This is not a minor fault. A UPS with a dead battery is just an expensive extension lead. It will not protect anything during a power outage — which is the entire purpose of the product.I am disabled with heart failure. I cannot return this 17kg unit to a post office or drop-off point. Amazon's own returns system offers no doorstep collection despite their policy stating defective items qualify for free collection. Their support system is a maze of dead ends with no way to reach a human.The unit itself may be fine. The battery fitted inside it is end-of-life. Someone sold this as new knowing the battery was years old. That is misrepresentation under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.Buyer beware — check your BATTDATE immediately after purchase using apcupsd. Do not assume a new box means a new battery.

This is a really solid piece of kit; but that’s what you’d expect from an APC UPS.Arrived and got it setup; simple to do. Be warned, it doesn’t come with the “kettle” cord, but had a spare one of those but bought a few more IEC plugs (male/female) and some with the 3pin adapter on the end.I’ve used this to keep power to my unifi dream machine, unifi switch, QNAP Nas and the BT Open Reach broadband. Plugged it all in and it works well; killed the power and all the devices showed online and the runtime calculated at around 45 mins.Need to do some work to configure a NUT but beyond that a great device and highly recommended.

Sold old equipment, look at the test date it's November 2022!The battery is already over 3 years old and failing on light load, from fully charged to 40% in 3 mins!!Warranty can be expected to be an issue!!!Now I have to mess around repackaging and returning it!!!!

Great UPS but you will also need a power cable to plug into a standard 3-pin UK socket as well as adapter cables to plug your equipment into the UPS because this unit only has C13 sockets on the back.It does ship with a special USB cable and I was able to activate power monitoring and auto shutdown on a Mac just by plugging in the USB cable and then going to Power settings - no additional software required.

I had one like this, the older model at least in 2009 in the US. I have already tried two other UPSs in Egypt and it feels like I am in a factory from the fan noise. I found this and it is an excellent UPS, but the battery terminals (battery comes disconnected for safety) were sunk in. I managed to bring them back out and since this is very difficult to find in Egypt, I will contact APC for a battery replacement instead of returning it. The UPS box is factory sealed, so this left Thailand like this; yes, it is made in Thailand. Battery failed to charge.Update: The full unit replacement had the same problem and worse; this was produced in 2019. A lead-acid battery in the terrible storage conditions in Egypt will not last for 4 years in scorching heat and humidity. Major fight with APC and escalations and it has been replaced.This is great UPS but not in Egypt where batteries are poorly stored.

Si buscas no tener sustos cuando se te vaya la luz y sobre tensiones, este es tu apc, funciona perfecto y despues de unos años sigue como el primer dia, muy completo y facil manejo.
